The Mages' Society

Born from an age old tradition, a society passed down through generations. Their secrets lie deep, their power grows even to this day. They whisper to the winds and guide the rivers; the shape our world, shrouded in mystery. The potential of the earth and it's forces lies at their fingertips, yet such control never sets them on a pedistal of tyrany. Their hearts are as pure as the energy that flows through their vains.
They are the spirit of magic... The Society of Mages.
Introduction
This clan is not RP based specifically, but there will be RPing involved, so anyone wishing to join must have an interest in PRing. Specific roles within the clan require you to have a certain character and personality, so be sure to keep that in mind.
I want this clan to also have a high standard, so members must:
-Use good English. Proper spelling and grammar.
-Post regularly on FFR. Be here for at least a month and/or have over 200 posts.
I will run through the positions, describing each here. The personality traits are for the RPing this clan will do.
Leaders
Elder Mage (This position is not available to apply for)
Specialises in Light and Dark magic only. No elemental magic. The Elder Mage is a teacher and guide for the other Mages of the society. Wise and worldly, the Elder mage gives advice, and is generally the last stop for anything that needs an opinion or permission.
The Elder Mage must maintain a somewhat neutral personality in the face of the Elemental Mages' differentiating ones.
Council
Blue Mage :: Positions: 1 :
Peaceful, calm, spiritual, and above all, a complete pasifist. The blue mage is extremely level headed and in tune with the water. Can use light and water element magic only. THe Blue mage can be friendly, or icy cold and aloof. Always mysterious as the depths of the deepest oceans.
Red Mage :: Positions : 0 :
Uses fire and dark magic only. The red mage has a fiery temper and a wild personality. Most likely the first to suggest a defeat in blazing glory rather than surrender, the Red Mage is stubborn and proud. But despite this, the Red mage is noble and the most trustworthy of the Elemental Mages.
Yellow Mage :: Positions : 1 :
Uses Thunder and dark magic only. Unpredictable and optomistic, the Yellow Mage has a fighting spirit. The Yellow mages' motto is most assuredly "Victory will be ours", and they will spare no expense in seeing that it happens. Losing is not an option for this competitive spirit. The Yellow Mage is by far the most motivated of the Elemental Mages.
White Mage :: Positions : 1 :
Uses Ice and white magic only. Somewhat cold and unyeilding, the white mage sees the situation from a neutral perspective in much the same way as an Elder. They are not as focused on their abilities as the other Elemental Mages, and are therefore able to develope their understanding of the magic further, rather than their skill with said magic. As such White mage's tend to be weaker with their element, but stronger at using white magic.
This particular brand of Mage tends to follow logic rather than feeling, and will only take a calculated risk if the odds are in their favour. White Mages are Elders in the making.
NOTE: Starting possitions for Elemental mages are one person only. However, if anyone would like to become an Elemental mage, they can start off as an apprentice and become one after being in the club for 30 days.
Guardians
Guardians :: Positions : Maximum of 5 :
Guardians are sworn to defend the Mages where they cannot - physical battle. Guardians must be pure of heart and noble to the core. A guardian's betrayal is severely punished, and such a punishment is greatly feared in all walks of life. Tortue and death.
Guardians must be skilled with a physical weapon. The Mages do not need a guardian with magical prowess as they have that base covered. The Gaurdians must have strength, speed and above all, courage. And they must be willing to put their own life in danger before that of a Mage.
Apprentices
Apprentice Mages :: Maximum Positions : 5 :
Apprentice mages do not have to pick one of the Four Paths to follow at first. They can freely train with all the Elemental Mages to decide which path best suits them. But very soon the time will come when they will have to align themselves with an element.
