“Welcome to our humble bar, the Dragons Fire Inn, what may I do yer for? Would you like a drink, maybe you’re a bard, come to learn the folklore of our land, or mayhap a weary traveller, come here for the delights, that await those who would pay for it, in the bedroom?
No you look different. Are yer here for summit else? You know of the illusion don’t ya? Well I tell ya, ill be having nothing to do with those, but since they pay for the accomidation, I put up with ‘em. They are down stairs; ere ill take ya to ‘em, but don’ expect a nice welcome or nothin’. If ya there to make trouble, you’ll be dead in moments, bunch a thieves and killers that they are…
Never mind, ill be outta this business soon, then they wont be nothin’ to do with me. Come on then.”
With that the grumpy looking man, plump in his appearance, and obviously irritated; invites you into the back room of his bar. Cautiously he looks around before closing the door behind you. A deep set of stairs leads into a deep unknown.
“I’ll go no fartha, ‘n If I were ya I wouldn’t either, I trust ‘em as much as a trust the demons that ravage the planes, with their promises of salvation. Ha, yeah, salvation as you’ll get down there. All that lies beyond the door is sin, vice and an existence of shadows. Go if ya will, just walk through the door and present yourself to them. Tell ‘em a bit about yourself, ‘n if the like ya, you’ll be allowed in. Careful though I understand that strictest discipline is enforced, yeah discipline among thieves. Honour too apparently, but I wouldn’t trust that if I were ya. Just be careful not to break the rules. Im kinda like a sales agent aren’t I, god I can’t wait to get outta this job…”
With that the man hands you a piece of paper with a list on it. The list reads:
“Rule 1: Don’t even think of betraying us
Rule 2: All members must participate in thievery excursions and hits, for the group to help with funding, though the choice of which to accept will be up to you. As much information as is possible will be supplied about the targets. All members may be complied to work with a partner, though on few occasions, bigger groups may be required.
Rule 3: Try not to kill others who are not targets, this is a professional game, though it will be tolerated, it is not encouraged.
Rule 4: Members must pass an initiation test, before being accepted. These will follow the guidelines set in rule 2.
Punishments
1: Once a member, always a member. Expulsion, and possible death
2: Possible expulsion, after a few missed (unless reason given) or points removed.
3: None, possible loss of points if serious
4: New member will not be accepted.

On the back of the paper is another bit of text. This one detailing promotion.
“Promotion is strictly monitored and controlled by Dao, the leader of the Essence. Promotion will be as followed:
Promotion is dictated on a point system. Points are given out for the following reasons:
1: Your style, whilst on excursions for the group. (How well you rp)
2: Idea’s taken by the group.
3: Duelling well with another member. The event must be made apparent on the notice board for it to count.
4: Taking part in tournaments within the group (these may also give some money, when brought back into the realm).
Ranking:
Members who acquire points acquire rank. Some events within the group, may require a certain rank on occasions. Ranks will be as followed:
0 – Possible target (someone not in the group)
1 – 9 – New Initiate
10 – 19 – Shadow
20 – 29 – Expert Shadow
30 – 39 – Illusion
40 – 49 – Silent Illusion
50 + - Essence Of Illusion

I realised i neglected to mention something 
1: Since your the first member, unless you want one, i wont ask you to do a challenge to get in. Kinda like a freebe thing.
2: I forgot to mention how the noteboard works. To use the noteboard, simply title your post noteboard.
And as for secrets, im working on an orpg for the guild, when we get more members. More news on other events coming soon. |
