The Shadow Elders
This guild is Japanese based. I am big on rp'ing so I hope the members to be too so that we can have guild rp's. I will now give you some information about The Shadow Elders.
The shadow elders date back to the early 16th century in Japan. They were a cultist group who possessed strange powers that were unexplainable by the people of the day. The group were hunted by the people of Japan who saw them as a threat and so opted to destroy them instead of finding out about them. The elders were not really a cultist group although they were called that because they were said to be apposing the rulers of Japan.
The Elders had been around for hundreds of years before this but they were not as well known and they were not in such high numbers. The elders managed to make an alliance with those whom sought revenge or just wanted to become more powerful. Their followers were mainly the greedy of people but those who were true elders were wise and pure. For the elders were immortal and there were some that had lived for up to five generations of men.
There was one elder, the greatest of all, 638 years old he was. He was named Yi-Wan, the leader of the elders. He was the one that taught the elders that they needed more than just their powers and so made the first sword; the sword of the elders. Yi-Wan also created hope for the elders when he came across a parchment that read of a prophecy of the elders. A prophecy in which a small boy, stripped of his parents, seeks revenge and so is granted the power of all the elders combined. One who would lead the elders into glory and the acceptance of man. The one has yet to be chosen, and so the quest of the elders continues.
This is all fictional of course but it is what the guild is based on. For our rp's everything will be based on Japan so it would be handy if you made up a character for them.
The guild isnt only for rp'ing so any further suggestions for things we could do inside the guild can be put foward by posting.

Rules
Ok there won't be many rules but I might add more in as we go along and as other problems occur.
1) Don't spam too much j/k Dont spam
2) No flaming other members
3) If you dont post in this thread at least once every 2 weeks then i will pm you, if you dont reply to the pm or dont post in the thread within another 2 weeks then you will be told that you have become inactive and will no longer be part of the guild.
If you know that you will be inactive for more than 2 weeks then pm me and tell me the reason and you wont be kicked out.
4) Any problems with members of the guild should be reported to me via pm, not through posting on this thread
5) Shadow Elders members must have good spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
6) You must use a character that has Shadow Elder powers (Magic that can be used through a weapon to enhance it), Japanese techniques in fighting and sword fighting and a Japanese style character for the rp's
7)You cannot use guns during the rp's

| well might as well describe my weapon a little. I used DracoBustersword, a bustersword with many wild beasts encraved on the side. This weapon hold the souls of the ennemy i've defeated and can call them back to fight for me. |

Neat.. my deadliest weopon is my will white Witch to core.. but my trusty Purple Bowe with Silver latin encraving takes care of those hard to remove pests..it fires arrows which can shoot though anything....and can drug the opponent to a pleasent sleep....then to death  |

I am Sesshoumaru, my weapons are the Toukijin and the Tensuiga, If you want to you can read this on the Toukijin that I found:
So what's a guy to do if he can't wield the sword he lusts after while he has no desire to use a sword that he owns? Find another sword of course. ^_~ Unlike the Tetsusaiga and the Tenseiga, this sword was not created by Toutousai nor was it made from the great Inu Taiyoukai's fang. Instead, this sword was created by Kaijinbou...Toutousai's expelled disciple gone evil. The Toukijin (roughly translates as "Fighting Fierce God") is also a sword that is made from a demon's fang. However the story behind that particular fang is what makes the sword an interesting rival for the Tetsusaiga.
The fang itself belonged to a demon called Goshinki who was involved in a fight with Inuyasha. Goshinki's fangs were so strong that they were able to destroy the Tetsusaiga by biting and breaking the blade in half during the battle. Though Goshinki was eventually defeated and killed by Inuyasha during the fight, the mere fact that it was able to break the Tetsusaiga gives us an idea of how strong that fang would be if it were to be created in to a sword. Naturally, Sesshoumaru also had the same idea...and so he brought the fang over to Kajinbou, commanding him to make a sword out of it. The middle manga scan down below is the scene where Sesshoumaru found Goshinki's head. At first when Sesshoumaru brought it over to Kaijinbou, he was told that a great sword could not be made out of a fang that is already dead. But fear not, Sesshoumaru has the Tenseiga in which he finally uses it for something he wants. ^_^ With the fang revived by the Tenseiga, Kajinbou can finally make this new sword, Toukijin.
So the question is..how powerful is this sword? Oh, it's powerful..we know that at least. At first, the sword was surrounded by such a massive evil aura that it actually possessed Kaijinbou when he held it. The evil of the sword basically came from Goshinki's deep lingering desire to kill Inuyasha. Kaijinbou eventually dies from his dual with Inuyasha though the sword remained to be contained with evil- so much so that no one was capable of touching it. When Sesshoumaru arrived to claim the sword, he was warned by Toutousai to not touch it or else he would also be possessed and controlled by the evil within even if it was someone of Sesshoumaru's power. However, we soon see that Sesshoumaru surprised everyone by his ability to effortlessly surpass Toukijin's evil energy and gain control of the sword to use as his own. The evil aura dissipated and finally, the sword has chosen its master!
In the few times that Sesshoumaru actually drew the sword out, we're able to see an amazingly great power pour out of it. The sword's mere energy/pressure is capable of cutting the opponent without even striking them. In fact most of the time, Sesshoumaru doesn't even touch Inuyasha with it. He just holds it out and all the cackling energy comes out of it and in turn cuts Inuyasha with the sword pressure. The left and right manga scans up above next to Goshinki's head are examples of how it looks like. Notice that in both pictures, the sword isn't touching anything but instead Sesshoumaru just holds it or slashes it in the air. The image directly above basically shows the Toukijin and the Tetsusaiga up against each other. The yellow lightning look-alike streaks you see are often what we see surrounding the Toukijin when it cackles in battle. We have yet to see what else the Toukijin is capable of doing and whether it will contain any special hidden attacks...but it's obvious that the Tetsusaiga has finally found its rival sword!
And this about the Tensuiga:
Now, you may have wondered how come Inuyasha gets a great sword from his father while Sesshoumaru inherits nothing...but ah, it's not nothing! Sesshoumaru did indeed inherit quite a godly sword also created from one of his father's fangs by Toutousai. However, we quickly realize that he refuses to use it even though he carries it with him at all times. Tenseiga is roughly translated as "Heavenly Life Fang" and it too has some awesome powers residing within the blade. Well, the name is quite obvious as to what the sword is used for isn't it? Yep..to heal and give life! According to Toutousai, the Tenseiga can restore life if used by someone who's mastered it. While the Tetsusaiga has the capability of killing 100 youkai with one swing, the Tenseiga can be used to restore 100 lives with one swing by someone who has the heart to truly cherish others. The sword is like an equal to the Tetsusaiga, brothers that are two sides of the same coin...it is neither superior nor inferior so it's not as though his father gave him a lesser sword by any means. However, a sword that can only be used to heal and not kill, Sesshoumaru could only stare at it with distaste. Who could Sesshoumaru possibly want to heal? The idea is almost funny when you think about the irony of the situation. ^_^;;
The sword does eventually prove to be of some use to Sesshoumaru though. During one of his battles with Inuyasha, the Tenseiga emanated a light that was able to keep Sesshoumaru from dying when Inuyasha managed to truly unleash the Kaze no Kizu attack on him. In the pictures below, you can see how the Tenseiga glowed around Sesshoumaru at the moment when he was directly hit by the Tetsusaiga's powerful attack. As said by Toutousai, the fact that the Tenseiga had saved Sesshoumaru meant that the sword had chosen him as its true master! It is quite interesting when you think about how Sesshoumaru would be unable to kill his brother with the Tenseiga while Inuyasha himself is also not able to use the Tetsusaiga to kill Sesshoumaru. The brother swords cannot go against each other! Was that the intention of their father, who might've known that his two sons would be fighting each other? It's a mystery that we can only speculate but not confirm.
So what about that whole deal regarding the fact that the potential of Tenseiga can only be used by someone who has the true heart to heal? On top of that, the reviving sword had chosen Sesshoumaru as its true master? I mean the Sesshoumaru that we know is of someone who is cold-hearted and does not seem to care about who he kills much less about healing anyone. In that sense, the Tenseiga works like a double-edged sword for him. Is he even able to use the abilities of the sword with a heart like his? And even if he could, would he even want to? If he did...would that mean that he's *gasp* kind-hearted and not as badass as we or even he, himself, think? It is indeed a sword that would bring some surprises in to his life. ^_~
The picture above on the left shows Sesshoumaru swinging the Tenseiga at Jaken after being asked what kind of sword it was. That was when we first learn that the Tenseiga cannot be used to kill as Jaken basically gets back up without even a scratch. On the right, the picture shows that with the Tenseiga, he is capable of seeing what a typical person can't: the pall-bearers that comes to take the dead with them. He can then use the sword to kill the pall-bearers- which would then bring the dead person back to life. And so to answer the question of whether he can use the sword to save someone or not? The answer is yes. =) At that time, he used it to bring a little girl back to life and even though he sort of declares it as a test...we all have to wonder why he really saved her. Not only that, but him being able to restore her life....does it mean that his heart really isn't bad? Or perhaps, he actually wanted to save her? =D It makes you wonder doesn't it? But then of course his heart isn't bad!! <--bias alert...hehe! Anyhow, more information on Rin (the little girl) can be found at my Companions section so you can take a look there if you like.
