Idea for expansion for points/donation hack

| Okay, one of the members on my board had an idea for an expansion to the points/donation hack on the board. He was thinking that there would be a "bank" on the board, and it would start off with lets say 1,000,000RP, every time a moderator or admin sees that they want to donate to someone, they have the option of donating either from their RP count, or from the bank. Also, there should be an Optional part to the hack (remember, not everyone uses the itemshop), where when someone sells an item, the RP goes to the bank, so that way you can keep the RP count up. Of course this script would have to have full CP integration...what do u guys think, is it possible? I would do it myself, but i don't know poop about PHP... |

funkiton, i'd assume you can't steal from there if only moderators and admins are allowed to donate (sorry if i didn't make it clear that only mods and admins are allowed to access the bank's funds)...i'd assume the moderators would be mature enough to not steal, and anyways, on my board my mods get paid (in RC, my board's currency), so they really have no reason to steal... |

hmm, probably not,you just have to make it so there's an option on the donation screen, and then you just have to have a template that is the bank that says the bank's current funds and stuff...
oh, and another nice addition might be something that gives all new users XXXX amount of RP... |

| I'll see. Making a Forums' "National" Bank and Economic System wouldn't be too hard. Just donating it from the total, and adding it all together would be hard. |

ya, but i dunno how PHP works, but i've done some programming on my graphing calculator, so couldn't it work like this:
You go to setup the script, and you enter a number for how much RP you want it to have by default, and it save as variable A. Every time someone goes to deduct or add from there, you just do A + the amount that the add or take away...
btw, if you decide to make this hack, be sure to let the user specify what the currency is, like don't automatically make it RP, since i use RC... |

| I know how it works, it's just a little bit harder to explain. If using a userfield, it can't add up all of the RP and get a total from it first. It would have to be driven through the mySQL database. |
