I haven't ran a board in a while, but I decided to put mine back up. Now, going to IBPlanet, I see there are alot of hacks, but I'm not really good with this sorta stuff, having used vBulletin for 3 years. Now, I'm wondering (to all the IPB gurus), what are the best hacks (in your opinion) to have on a board?

Welcome Panel, very simple, but in the same token can make your forums look that much more inviting. Something that is also pretty cool, well I like it anyway, is the download section, written by bfarber. It allows members, or whoever you want, to upload numerous files for others to download. Another thing you may want to consider is a shoutbox, just a little something for the members. Then there are numerous mods/hacks which help to better how your forums run, most of them you can't really see.
Yeah, thats the best hack for IPB.. Not only does it allow alot of good intergration features for your site.. it gives you examples so if you dont know what you are doing, then you can get the code from the examples, and use it on your site
All the battle systems for IPB suck anyways, unless you can actually find Inferno RPG 2.5
I just installed ibproarcade on mine, and it's the sweetest thing.

Zero Tolerance is developing a battle hack for IPB he has it release already for vB, i think it will be called Inferno 4 but it has lots of feautres like summons etc if you want to see it go here.
