It'll sell well in japan, but I'm not so sure about here. If everyone's like me, and they should be, then they'll have had the same reaction I did to the FF13 trailer;
"what?"
There's only so much "l'Cie" and cocoon nonsense I can take before I get annoyed, and that trailer fulfilled that quotient and then some.

But it may be a very well fleshed out story at this rate. Maybe they learned from the positive reception of FFXII's story.

yeah, I thought most people didn't like it. I don't think I've seen any of the trailers or ads for xiii. all I know is that there are like 2 of them. these guys are terrible at numbering games.

People seem to be responding to FFXIII almost the same way that people responded to FFIX pre-release. At least as far as the negativity goes.

Don't challenge FFIX in front of me. It justifies the RPG in a way no game I've played ever has.
