Famitsu have conducted an interview with the Square Enix team that are developing the brand new Mystery/RPG to the Nintendo DS.
Chiba Hiroki, Kitase Yoshinori and Nakaaki Yusaku revealed more information about Sigma Harmonics to do with the plot, gameplay and other things surrounding the development.
Nintendic website have a list of the main details that were garnered from the interview such as :
- It was developed for the DS to take advantage of how you could turn the machine on its side and read it like a book
- Mystery is a big part of the plot, however the team did not want to alienate RPG fans either so they decided not to drop that aspect.
- It seems the game will not use the microphone as it was deemed too gimmicky
- The story is separated into chapters, each containing a mystery which must be solved in order to progress.
- The use of Full Motion CGI clips will not be featured, instead stylised painted scroll movies will be in their place.
- A 'mystery man garbed in Black will reveal himself around the half way point of the game
