Sigma Harmonics was one of a number of new patents Square Enix registered at the Patent Office and courtesy of Famitsu and one of our affiliate sites, Forever Fantasy, the first details of what Sigma Harmonics is has come to light.

It is described as a Adventure RPG with a murder/mystery story running through it and will be for the Nintendo DS. It will be divided into chapters and within the chapters a new mystery occurs. Intriguingly you hold the DS on its side, like a book.

The character designs will be done by Yusaku Nakaaki, Hiroki Chiba will direct and Kitase will produce.

The game is apparently already 60% complete and is scheduled for a summer release in Japan.
