Some welcome news to those fans of Square Enix games and their respective franchises. The famous "Square Enix Members" official club, which has operated in Japan for a few years, seems to be on its way to America.
Why is this good news? Well, by registering online you will be able to get the latest trailers, downloadable stuff, developers interviews and other such content. The Company also promise to bring "additional incentives" which will be introduced over time.
Registration begins later today and the site itself will open March 24 at the link below.

Sounds good Dave... I may join...
And one question. You really like that bamboozle in your sig, dont you? |

| They're going to need a little more incentive then that before they can convince me to join. |

- THE VAULT WILL BE OPENED SOON -
I'm currently looking for gamers with an interest in the gaming culture and industry outside of Final Fantasy to help with a new, upcoming video game news site. If you think you're interested, please throw a PM my way.

Hahaha.
I'm more concerned personally about how much member content they'll actually be able to provide, than about what the content actually is. The internet is a big place, and unless they really provide something unique, I'm not gonna hold my breath.
A good example is the Nintendo VIP service. Every time you buy a game, you're given a piece of paper with a number you can scratch off. If you imput that number into the Nintendo VIP site, you can download unique content for your PC related specifically to that game.
You also earned "points" with each purchase, which could be turned in for other items.
It never made me want to buy more games or anything, but it was a nice, fun incentive.
If they can come up with something original like that, I'm sold. But I won't be holding my breath beyond anything more than a five minute interview with Tetsuya Nomura, where he talked through has ass about character design, and trailers we'll see everywhere else within the week, every couple of months. |

| I'm with Michael. I'd need more info on what I'd be getting, cause that doesn't sound like much. |

Michael you make a good point- well both of you really...xD
Im guessing it will probably start out small things at first- and hopefully as the member numbers rise they might provide more actual stuff that, as Michael says, cant be already found elsewhere on the Internet. |

Maybe it's the fangirl in me but:
Hands down, I'm joining. I'd imagine that since this site is new to the U.S. and just starting up they won't offer much, but as the site developes and more people join I'm sure that they'll offer more.
Plus, I'm curious to see what Square Enix has to offer, could be worth my while. Then again, the majority of things SE are. |

| The Members Site is now open- though it seems the exclusive content is pretty much news and information you can find practically elsewhere on the internet. |
