New Scholar class for FFXI Expansion: Wings of the Goddess announced

Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess is nearly out, but Square Enix have been very quiet about revealing details about the kind of extra content that will make its way into the next expansion pack.
Recently though, the newest job class was announced. A few weeks ago we were treated to the Dancer, and now it's time to meet... the Scholar.
According to the official FFXI site, the scholar will be similar to a mage, whose "...knowledge of ancient martial theory granted them the ability to wield dual schools of magic". The source of the scholar's power - the grimoire books - will be explained in the expansion pack
Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess is due in stores on November 20th.
