At the Square Enix Party in May, SE announced that a next gen Star Ocean game was in the works with it being developed by Tri Ace- and even now the platform it will be on is still unannounced.
Games Are Fun have some details and images of Star Ocean 4 which are below for your reading and viewing pleasure:
- The Player will be able to pilot a spaceship and travel to different worlds. There will be more than just a few planets in the galaxy this time around.
- The story is finished and will have a slightly different setting than SO3 but it will not be so different that characters from past games will not be able to return.
- The heroine's name will be Reimi and the hero's name will be Edge Maverick.
- You will be able to have five members in your party and the battle system will not be the same as the one featured in SO3.
More info will probably be revealed after the remakes of SO1 and 2.
