Final Fantasy VII has always been one of the great SE games that fans come together and talk about, replay over and over again and has spawned spinoff games and even a movie.

However, since the famous Tech demo, some FFVII fans live in hope that a modern upgrade of their favourite game would be worked on by SE.

A petition that has surfaced on Petition Online has gathered over 14000 signatures of FF fans lending their support and appreciation of FFVII and their request of SE to remake FFVII.

“This is a petition that I am starting, not with the intent of forcing this to happen, but rather, to show Squaresoft that this is something that their fans want to happen. The original Final Fantasy 7 was an amazing game. However, I think that it could be an even more amazing game. In all areas of creativity, Squaresoft’s employ has improved ten fold since Final Fantasy 7. They get better and better with every new game. Being that Final Fantasy 7 is widely considered the best game they ever made, a remake seems almost inevitable. Even so, I still would like to give this idea a little push in the right direction. “

I'll sign it but all must remember the beuty of the game.
immagine having your favourite toy when you were 5 years old remade with all the cool new stuff on it.
would it look like your ld toy?
would it feel like it?
would it smell the same?
would it be the same at all?

think about it guys it just wouldn't be final fantasy 7 any more

I would actually be pretty psyched to see a remake of 7. I realize that it wouldn't be exactly the same, but that would be part of the awesome-ness. It would be so cool to see some new things in there. More sidequests and such. As long as they don't destroy the game, I would love to have it.

I do see your point though. I think it's a concern for a lot of people. With any remake though, you have to approach it realizing that it won't be exactly like the old one. Also, realize that those changes could be a very good thing. You don't want to play the exact same game over again. You want to play something new. So you remake the game with new features. People who have played it before will play it again just for the new features, and to see FF7 with today's graphic technology. People who have never played it before will get to play, what I would say is, the most epic game ever made.
