Pictures of the special Collector's Edition case have been released. In addition to front panel art, the metal case also has artwork of the main characters on the interior.

The Collector's Edition is available exclusively from Gamestop/EB Games, and will be released on October 31, 2006. This special edition is currently available for pre-order for a price of U.S.$59.99, and comes with a collector's DVD featuring developer interviews, a History of Final Fantasy, trailers, and an art gallery.
