Wi-fi in Final Fantasy III and new screenshots

A while back, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy III would incorperate some kind of wi-fi feature. A little later, it was leaked that said feature was going to be a messenger system that would allow players to communicate with each other... and now Square Enix has finally gotten around to confirming that.
Similar to the MogNet of Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy III will feature a moogle mailman. According to an article on GameSpot, in addition to being used in-game to unlock sidequests, the new and improved MogNet will now allow you to send messages to other people who own the game.

Final Fantasy III is due to be released August 24 in Japan, and October 3 in North America.
