Final Fantasy III DS to be Wi-Fi Enabled
----

Front Page Article: Final Fantasy III DS to be Wi-Fi Enabled
It seems there are going to be even more new layers than we first though added to the DS remake of Final Fantasy III.
Coming as something of a suprise to many, a page from the most recent issue of the American gaming magazine Nintendo Power revealed that Final Fantasy III DS would be playable through the Nintendo Wi-Fi network.
The Nintendo Wi-Fi network, for those not in the knows, allows DS users to play select games online (using a local broadband connection, or from "Wi-Fi spots") through their handheld machine, without any charges or payments.
Square Enix themselves had very little to say on the subject, ""I can confirm that Final Fantasy III contains Wi-Fi, but I can't reveal the details at this time."
Obviously, the company wants to keep their cards close to their chest with this one, which only allows for speculation. How exactly is the game going to take advantage of the Wi-Fi system? Will we be able to pit our party against other friends half ways across the world? Or will they go one step further and allow us to inhabit the gameworld with them?
The game is currently set for a September 12th release date on American shores, so it may be a while yet until you find out what Square Enix have planned for sure. It's a suprising developement for the game nevertheless, and one we'll be assured to keep you up to date on!
