Square Enix denies latest FFVII rumors

Come on... you all saw it coming.
Earlier this week, Best Buy was taking pre-orders for Final Fantasy VII for PS3. What a surprise... the page has mysteriously vanished, and Square-Enix has been issuing new statements of denial, while simultaneously promoting FFXIII. Said Square-Enix in response to the Best Buy pre-orders:

Could it be? It there really to be no remake, or doth SE protest too much? Only time will tell.

Good. I'm glad.
It doesn't necessarily deny that they are making one, but at least it's not confirmed as of yet...I'd rather see them work on other things to be quite honest. Remaking the game could potentially ruin it, anyways. |

They still haven't said that they're not actually doing it, just that they haven't officialy confirmed it... I'll give it a year at most before it's announced. |

Quoted for truth. Although I think they could drastically improve certain aspects of FFVII, from their recent track record it’s quite likely that they’d just ruin what was good about it. |

Gotta say im a fan of the DW games...
Id rather SE look to the future as well. Leave FFVII as it was, the masterpiece of gaming it still is. |
