Some hands-on footage of Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS (presumably filmed at E3) has surfaced, courtesy of JeuxFrance.com. For about five minutes, you get to see not only a bit of the battle system, but also the overworld map, town exploration, NPC interaction, and even a cute little moogle.

One thing that may be of concern for gamers, however, is that during the video there is an awful lot of time spent staring at a blank screen as the next area comes up.
