<img src="http://www.ffrepublic.com/archives/posts/097.gif" align="left">Good afternoon Final Fantasy Republic members and visitors. I appear today on behalf of the entire administration to declare public use of the Battle System, at this instant, available. The long-term project was completed in 2 ½ months with 5 total phases. The newly announced Battle System is an attachment to our preceding version and comes equipped with much more fixes, changes and features for use. Enclosed below are the Battle System’s founders, creators, and creditors.

Factoids
The entire Battle System’s lines of coding added altogether are 3,819.
All 3,819 lines of code were composed by afterlab.
Over 50 templates make up the Battle System’s design and functionality.
There are exactly 37 math equations throughout the entire Battle System.

Change Log
- RP no longer earned through leveling up.
- Summon, skills, attack, flee, and item use displayed in new format.
- Battle Card introduced.
- Battle Ticker redesigned and formatted.
- All battles deleted and cleaned out of the registry.
- More terrains can now be available once reaching specific levels.
- Scan player function featured.
- Sphere Board now available.
- Cleaned out battle window to display basic information needed for battling.
- Added new design for 'Battle Views'.
- RP earned through winning is now reduced to limit over-benefits.
- All commands, functions, and equations are now found in 1 file rather than 4.
- Battle History introduced.
- Scan player can now block out information if the character has learned the 'Cloak' ability.
- New design shown for Battle Management.
- Clearer and easier format for Battle Management; reduced 2 extra rows.
- Total Battles for each member can now be monitored.
- Total battles at one time limit is now 10, rather than 5.
- Overdrives now available for use in battles.

- Fixed battle history to show only the user's previous battles.
- Fixed HP/MP calculations when using items.
- Purchasing and equipping items in the Item Shop while currently in a battle is no longer allowed.
- Added the ability to use items out of battle (if not currently in one)
- Fixed title error; if title was blank, it wouldn't appear.
- Added private battle filtering.
- Made leveling up of character slightly longer.
- Users killed will now get their other battles cancelled with no winner or loser.
- RP Statement now supports Battle System earnings.
- Blocked ability to do another command once the battle is completed.
- New format introduced for current battles within Battle Management.
- Added private battle identification.
- Added boss battle identification.
- Reformatted character job classes.
- Altered damage variables when attacking and using overdrives.
- Added 'luck' attribute into damage calculations.
- Added 'Fanfare', 'Game Over', 'Boss', and 'Normal' battle music.
- Fixed summon and skills looping issue.
- Altered EXP gauge to function adjacent to the user's level.
- Redesigned position and format of Battle Ticker in Battle Management.
- Fixed item HP/MP miscalculations.
- Fixed 'enddate' entry after fleeing from battle.
- Fixed user's total battles count when ending a battle.
- Full FFR Card support for Battle System added.
- 'Change Equipment' command now available.
- Added Battle Guide and link.
Rules
- No posting of battle requests. This can be setup between two players via Private Messaging. Example: (User X: Hey User Y, please battle me!! I can beat you!!! Set one up!)
- No posting of battle comments. This can also be setup between two players via Private Messaging. Example: (User Z: Hey User A, good battle, let’s try it again sometime.) |
