This is for discussion on the news article, The Republic Returns. This article can be found here: http://www.ffrepublic.com/news.php?s=&id=27
======================================
The month-long project known as Final Fantasy Republic v3.0 is now complete. If you notice, only one sector is available at this time; Final Fantasy X. To meet the required release date, we've decided to limit content when released, rather then limiting content in a specific sector alltogether. Do not worry though, as the Final Fantasy IX and XI sectors are being rebuilt and submastered by the new programming within v3.0. Look out for our other sectors slowly emerging from the ashes like Final Fantasy VII and VIII. These sectors have started production and are set to release next month in full form.
As for the changelog between v2.0 and v3.0, let us explain. FFR v3.0 debuts our new QuickFFR System, which enables our forum users to easily send reviews, guides, and files to FFR's database. On average, as an unregistered user, there are 3 extra fields to fill out. The QuickFFR System is now being used in virtually every form at FFR. Another difference you may observe is the new game sector design. The new design shows off the user ratings, who's online, sector multimedia and navigation, release dates, game insider, and soundtrack information. Other additions within v3.0 would include faster PHP technology, stable coding, and a full database-driven site and forums link.
We do understand that the site lacks content over the basis of the site, Final Fantasy, and will improve rapidly by the next 2 months.
While we're hard at work, feel free to kick back and browse the site and forums. We're honored to have you as a visitor of this network. Thank You. |

I think this is all a giant foley! This is no version 3, this is version 3.1! Not only that, but you're taking everything off and reverting it back to the old style!!!

I use vBulletin's coding on many of the features of the Forums too.. Like the Item Shop, World Map, Battle System, myLinks, etc.. Sure I didn't give credit to vBulletin for them, but it works along with the original "vBulletin-created" vBulletin board, so it's a "hack" or "modification". Don't get mad at me, because there are hundreds of people just like me who create hacks to work with vBulletin. |
