First off, I would like to welcome you all back to FFR, and I hope you'll continue to bring in new work to show off and get critiques on. The following are the basic guidelines/rules for the Graphical Asylum.

Graphical Asylum Posting Rules

The Graphical Asylum is for posting original Digital Art, by using programs such as (but not limited to) Bryce, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc. Some examples of what belong in here include Avatars, Signatures, and Wallpapers. Any content not related to Digital Art will be locked and/or moved to the appropriate forum. Repeat offenders will have a PM sent to them restating this point in the rules, and if it continues, then warnings may ensue.

-------------------------------

Now for a listing of the basic rules here in the Graphical Asylum:

- Explicit nudity will not be tolerated, please make sure the main private areas are covered. Please label any potentially offensive works with the [adult] - tag in the topic title.

- All work posted here should be ORIGINAL, no exceptions. If you are found ripping someone else's work, your posting rights will be revoked for an appropriate time as seen fit. Your name will also be added to a blacklist that will be pinned at the top of this forum.

Ripping is defined as stealing, using, or altering another person's work without his/her explicit permission, and/or claiming it to be made by yourself. This includes, but is not limited to:

-> Blurring / hiding any means of identifying the author of a work and/or replacing it with your own.

-> Altering the work in such a way to make it appear to be original

-> Using another person's work such as wallpapers as a background in signatures without permission.

----> Also, please note that common sense is in place here, unless you claim that the character designs you use, for example, Cloud, belong to you, then you don't need to say "Cloud is copyright Square Enix" etc.

- Constructive criticism is welcomed, unless the designer states otherwise. Notice the "constructive" part of this, 3-5 word posts are not considered constructive, they are considered spam.

An example of a good critique would be something like: "The colors mesh well, blending the stock in nicely, but the text placement seems a little off. Maybe if you took the top text and moved it to a diagonal position, then it would set off the stock a little better."

- Please label your work with the correct tags, informing people browsing of what type of digital art is contained in the thread. For example: "Into the Blue - Signature" or "Abstract Flames - Wallpaper". It will help to keep things a little more organised.

- Web layouts should be posted in the Webmaster's Pub, not in the Graphical Asylum.

--------------------------------

All that said, please enjoy the works that others have brought here, and we look forward to seeing your own digital art as well.
