k. Here's the deal. I'm going to open this thread up for discussion, only because there seems to be a lot of frustration from both sides over FFR's staff.
BUT: If I see any words ranging from pathetic to ****tard, I will warn the **** out of the person who said it. Think it's unfair? I don't. Because frankly, Turks already denied you guys the privelege of voicing your concerns with the new staff members because you just couldn't handle the idea of doing it in a civil manner. So, I'm giving you all a second chance under the condition that you understand I'll blast you if you step out of line again. And the same goes for Turks, Sephy and myself. If we get hot-headed over this, I close the thread and I start work on a new one to figure out how to tone us down.
Regardless of all this talk about whether FFR is actually a republic, democracy, dictatorship, etc...we're all held to the same standard as far as treating each other like people, for christ's sake.
So, discussion's open. I'd especially like to hear more from Rei and Jonny and Kosai.
Specific question for Rei and Kuja Sephiroth, if somebody can get a hold of him for an answer: If FFR really is unsalvagable, why would you come here and complain about it to us? If you know your words aren't going to make any difference at all, why stir up trouble by saying them anyways? |

I think its completely unsalvagable, as the damage has been done, and there is no way to rectify it. You can make things alright for the members at FFR, but it'll never be what it was. Not again.
Anyway, as I have stated before, I came back to be an annoyance. I couldn't give a rats ass about FFR anymore. Not much more to say really, but good luck on trying to get FFR back to being a fun and friendly community, not one overflowing with drama and arguments.

Since i've not give it then and due to request by Cory, i'll give my honest opinion on the two new promotions for the Final Fantasy Republic staff team. Here we go.
Phyxius
Cory is and to put it bluntly a Final Fantasy Republic legend, in the past he's always made a great staff member, helping many members and doing the right things along the way. Going through many stages of Final Fantasy Republic, and making choices. I think Cory is one of the better staff members Final Fantasy Republic has ever had before the big crash. With Cory off staff everything was crazy, he made stupid and pointless threads however they were spammy and stupid but they were in Sector 7 Playground, it wasn't like he was posting stupid pointless threads in the Final Fantasy Republic Clans forum. Now, being banned and going through all those stages everything was sorted out. (Man this is a ****ing history lesson for you.) So now Cory is back to his full potential i see it as, going through just another stage, sooner or later in my opinion he will go back to his very old ways of being a loyal, helpful and caring staff member, all in all Cory was a good choice of staff members, maybe not the very best but certainly better than many others.
Sephiroth 9999
Heh, myself and Sephy go back quite a while now. Back to the days of 2002 with a site called "Static" of which we both S-modded, it was only a community of 200 members but was actually quite active. Soon Sephy was given an admin spot for his hard work. And although Sephy is only very young now compared to many people on Final Fantasy Republic he still has potential to staff the place. He knows what to do in bad situations and how to handle them, however, sometimes he can get his emotions put in before he gets his normal response. Still a good pick though, however, like Cory maybe not one of the top pick's, but still a good one.
So yes, well done on those who god staffed and like i said i'm sure you'll do a good job staffing this place. |

| You know, it's rather depressing. I'm seeing alot of vets posting in here and bickering over meaningless ****, and trying to piss the staff members off to make them look bad. You people are also making claims that it's impossible to dig FFR out of the whole it's dug itself into. Well, you're half right, it is impossible so long as everyone fights the staff every step of the way. As veterans, you should be supporting the staff in their efforts to try to restore order around here. Now I'm not saying that the staff is perfect either, but it doesn't help that they get absolutely ZERO respect. You people need to pull together and get FFR back on it's feet, before more good members leave due to all this infighting. |

Please....STFU about things you have no idea about. We (vets) aren't fighting the damn staff. I'm not going to say that we never have, but in this case we aren't. We just want things to be cleared up about certain actions made by the staff, a justification to say the least. You can't support the something that you disagree with, now can you?

As far as pulling together... we are if you haven't notice. The majority of the vets have the same thoughts on this...Honestly you wouldn't know unless you seen the behind scene, then maybe you'd be as pissed and outward about your thoughts as half of us are...

See, I've got to be perfectly honest. I've got to be blind to what the exact issues are with the staff. All I've heard up to this point have been insults thrown at other members and prophesy about the fall of FFR. Could I get somebody to directly list the concerns with the staff? Actually, this thread should still be kept for comments directly pertaining to the new staff members. So let me make a new thread for the issues and I'll redirect you all to it with a link.
