Because it's unfair Eddie was taken off staff, and Cory was put on staff when Cory was banned just like Eddie. No offence to anybody here, i'm just stating facts. If Cory is on staff and Eddie isn't, i'm beginning to think this was done due to personal issues.
Dont seem to recall Cory ever pissing alot of people in the FFR community. Eddie pisses people off. ALOT!.

Cory was put on staff, before he was warned or banned or whatever.

Eddie says he has changed, and after changing on FFDiscovery and FFDistrict, he deserves this more than Cory. It was only just before FFR fell down for all the features to be kicked in did Cory stop acting like a total *****. And plus, not only has Cory been banned, he's had multiple accounts, so has Eddie though. So all in all, Eddie deserves this shot.

Eddie changed WOOPIE DOO. Like most of us aint heard that before? He was once a FFR staff, in my eyes hes failed. Let someone have a go at been staff for a change.

Cory has never acted like a total *****. Not to my knowledge anyway, and im frequantly visitor here.

Let's see if I can clear this up a little. My eye really hurts, so I'm gonna make it quick. Many of you might not know this but I asked to be banned.

-pause for gasp-

-continue-

Yeah. Not many of you guys have been around to see FFR before Kirstin's term, and then Jonny, Ethereal and Mazen's term, and then Naoko's term, and then Josuke's term and then been there back when it was just Eric, sole administrator. And I'm seriously not trying to wave around seniority, but I'm just citing that because during that time, I was a part of a staff that actually worked. We got things done and we made sacrifice after sacrifice to make the members happy. You think any of us enjoyed handcrafting the Battle System, knowing that we weren't supposed to play it anyways? Or the long, enduring contests that were held over weeks and weeks, none of which compare to some of the events held recently. (Sorry!!! -winces-) No. We did a lot and a lot just to make the community more fun to be around. And after a while, the site kinda went into a full-speed crash. It became the FFR that we've all witnessed over the past few months, with members and other sites just dying to spit on us and beat us down.

And it's not fun. It seriously was not real enjoyable to see a site that a lot of people had worked extremely hard on go unappreciated and fall to such drama like it did. So I *****ed a lot. The site had become so extreme that a simple PM to an admin or conversations with the staff just didn't get **** done. So I resorted to Nic's style of change- *****hhhhhing. But I hate that. I really do. So I had Kirstin ban me ahead of time, because I just wanted the site to move on and do whatever it was going to do. I told her to unban me when she became admin.

Well, I broke a few rules and created a few accounts to do some lurking, because I have computer tech second period and there's nothing to do in there. And so yeah, those got banned a few times and I figured I'd just ditch the site.

Now it's up, Kirstin's admin and I'd like to be on the staff again, because it's clean right now. FFR tends to be a storeroom for anger and controversy. There's never a single moment where somebody's not pissed about something. I mean: the site opens up and that's not good enough. Because ohmigod, you have to click a button before you can make a quick reply. Let's make forty threads about how much FFR is the suck. But, I figure, we abandon all that stuff and just go back to talking and shexing Lennon Legend, and the site can be fun again.

And if I do a bad job or whatever, than I go back to regular membership. There's really no harm at all in putting me on the staff, as long as i can be taken off just as easily.

And as for Black War...he has nothing to offer the staff except drama, no offense. Even if his ban record was spotless, the controversy surrounding even his membership at the site pretty much outweighs anything he could do to better the place. -shrug-

Anyways, got any more questions-just PM me or Kirstin about it. I'm thinking we should keep this thread for confetti and congrats.

Just to clear up everything surrounding Cory:

yes, he asked me to ban him, so i did. that was brought up and discussed in the staff lounge. He got warnings for his multiple accounts and they still hold even now. Rei had unbanned his Phyxius account, seeing as how he did nothing on it to warrent a ban in the first place.

so yes, he still has warnings
but no, he had never been rightfully banned.

Cory has a clean ban record, whereas Eddie does not.

I can assure you, there is no bias in my deciscion on modding him. He has proven his worth to the site multiple times and has excellent skills as a staff member. His past here before the site was taken down was a bit shaky, but not unlcean.

Cory pretty much hit the nail on the head there. FFR was a really enjoyable site before the huge crashout, and now I don't even like posting here because of the amount of *****ing that normally endures. It's really sad to see something I took part in working on, for nearly 2 years, turn into something I've grown to slowly despise. It's not fun at all.

I really wish things could go back to how they were, but it would seem that can't happen. I've given this place more than enough chances to revert back to how it was... and I pray that the new staff can do that, but I really can't see it happening. No offense. Good luck nonetheless.

I loved my old newbie days, with the Elite Force of the Jedi, when people like Quistis, Zelnaga, Mase Mandrin, Vanilla, Neo Seifer, Angel of Night, Maikeru.. they were all newbies, and it was so fun. Everyone looked up to the staff as they ran things so well. It was literally a perfect place to be, almost like paradise but online.

Now look at FFR, it's basically nakered. I might host the repubbies still, spend a whole weekend doing the adding voting and things trying to get people interested, but Cory, i actually thought you were banned. But if it wasn't, and i was wrong. So be it, you deserve your spot, i was just thinking, Eddie got demoted for the same reason Cory got promoted, but no. Cory wasn't banned, my bad.

Stop living in the past, things happened to FFR, things went wrong. None of us wanted these things to happen and we all want things to go back to normal, but theres only one way that this can happen; by the members cooperating with the staff to make the forums better.

The difference between the old and the new FFR is basically, the old FFR had a handful of experienced members and a lot of new, but good members. The new FFR has very few new members and those once good new members who would listen to the staff, have become disrespectful and outspoken. Do you really think we would make just anyone a staff member? No, we wouldnt, and so you should trust our decision, not complain about it, not say you could do better, but just live with it and trust us to make the right decisions. Because thats what we're here for.

I believe this new staff has the beginnings of a great staff. We all get along well and we can work together well. Even in these few days things have got rolling and are getting done. As activity on the forums increases then more things will start happening and we will do our best to keep things running smoothly.

The thing that is blocking us from doing this are the members who feel they need to complain and critisize everything about this forum. You really arent helping here and you're the ones who are holding this forum back, not the staff. Complaining really doesnt help, especially when it isnt constructive, which in most cases it isnt. Suggestions are helpful, even questions that challenge us at times, but for a valid reason and with suggestions on how we could make this thing better, are helpful, but *****ing and moaning isnt.

If you want to see this forum how it was before, or maybe better, then you all need to stop critisizing us on our decisions and complaining about things not worth complaining about. From this I know I'll get "oh so we arent allowed to voice our opinion now then?". Opinionated people are fine, they can be very helpful, but they can also be a pain in the arse because most of the time their opinion is *****ing and is not constructive. I would encourage people to voice their opinions, you've most likely seen me do it a lot before, and opinions really are fine as long as you can say what you want changing, why you want it changed, and how we could change it. In other words, back up your opinion by giving suggestions and so helping us.

If this *****ing continues then I will personally make sure that a very strict policy is brought in about it, and I know you wont like it, but its really getting stupid now and I'm sick of it. Maybe one day I'll come on this site again and not see a bunch of outspoken "know it alls" *****ing and trying to tell the staff how to do their jobs.
