Something I've noticed about that petition list...
They're all new mods or ex-mods aside from Josh/PARANOiA x.x Young and restless *shakes her head* For the new guys, I guess it's because you guys don't know how bad FFR was before now. You might think a couple of lamers every so often is bad, some spam, you didn't see FFR before the old staff cleaned it up. The older staff (now ex staff =P); Nojiko doesn't like the site much anymore, which he's admitted in the past and Kitsune...did you not also leave in anger? It kinda shows something about the people who made this thread rather than the state of the staff as a whole.
N.B. I actually like all of the people who've made this petition when they're not being "staff-like" but it seems that your cry for a "New Regime" is petty compared to what has been dealt with in the past. "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen", as they say *shrug* It's what I did for a while, I never even left the forums, but being off staff makes you see that things could be worse and once were  |

Afterlab, you'll see. Keep that little anecdote and read the book. Later on you'll understand. Also, read up on Stalinist Russia and the history behind the Russian Communist party. You'd probably be able to understand what I'm gettin' at.

If you're talking about the rebellion of the pigs on Animal Farm, then, yes. It lasted for a while and then it basically just became like normal human society, the very society they were striving to drive away from. You see, it's inevitable. We're all going to come across some problems. No "rebellion" is going to solve it, I'm sorry to say. Any rebellion would result in temporary satisfaction, but later on things are just going to go right back to normal. Maybe a little help from the administration can help you out, but all problems will eventually weed themselves out.
It's a jagged pill, you guys. Take it with water, let it cut you on the way down, and dissolve. |

| I read everything from phyx post to mederu, i will agree with jay rei has done so much for FFR she is a frendly person and here role on the staff as a eco officer is the postion she deserved. I also agree with jonny it seems as if most of it was stated at him, jonny works hard he is trying his best to make FFR alot funner than what it already is, Also eric is the main admin of this place and he works hard but sometimes he does need help not just from his co admins but from his employees the staffers, i notice in the past that some staffer like kevin right now he is having a contest and he is a eco officer and eco officers do give out rp and that is proof of it with his contest in the past. I also notice that some staffers are nice enough to talk with me on aim like jonny josh and a few others so i dont know where u say they dont reply to pm's.....maybe its because they are busy you ever thought of that??? Jay was a former eco officer here on FFR he has been here with eric ever since eric created FFR so if anyone deserves his staff postion back its Jay. I would have said rei but she is staff. Saizuhci also contributed alot to FFR like the licnese hack............... okay i think i said enough *end rant* |

| Well said Jay, I think this thread is fixin to become quite active, But i have notice a few things here and there. One most of the staff here ***** alot excpet a few. Second some of the staff do there job but they also sometimes lack on it and another thing sometimes the staff umm whats the word im looking for.....TAKE there job to damn serious hello people this is a forum not a communist nation its ment to be fun and sometimes i dont even feel like posting cause of some of the staff are taking there job a bit to serious. If i ever was allowed on staff *which will never happen* i would do my job but also make it fun for other members and the way i would do that is have contest and if someone pmed me i would pm them back. The point im trying to make here is that this is a place for FUN not come here post but not have fun if that were to happen we would lose alot of people who would not come back here. I talk alot with the staff i sometimes give ideas to them, I sometimes even suggest contest and stuff but that is it. I hope this gets resolved and the *****ing sessions will end cause if the dont............we could lose some good members.*end rant* |

*sigh* I _knew_ people would take it personally. I won't debate it any further, because people seem to think I'm targeting them, when all I'm doing is using an example. It's not "Forum Politically Correct" for me to respond to this thread, because it will deviate from it's intended topic into petty personal disputes.
But, I will clearify some points first. Phyxius wrote that, with the collaboration of everyone who signed it. It's not just his points of view and some of the names named, are also just examples of things we don't like to see happen.
Also, I too tried to stay as long as I could and keep taking the same kind of bull**** being fed to me Jonny. But, unfortunately, I wasn't given the same freedoms or opportunities as I see you were. Also, as you witnessed yourself, anything I did beyond basic Econ. Officer changes, was usually instantly disputed or recinded by Eric himself. So, I was left to be able to 'fix' nothing, or even propose ideas, which I'm sure you're having similar trouble, but not as much with.
Anyways. Like I said, we're not trying to strongarm you into anything. If you don't care if they leave, then okay, they'll just leave. It's no big deal. This was posted here because it's a collective announcement of something the Staff wants to bring attention to. If it was in the Staff Lounge, it wouldn't get much progress, you could merely ignore it, among other things.
_I_ only even came out of the woodwork, because I thought that _maybe_ this would be a chance to see some improvements in FFR or at the very least get some old long-awaited points across. Something I wasn't able to do while I was on Staff, but if I had the chance to, I would definately try to. Seeing as then it would be fun again and somewhere I actually desired to go to everyday like I used to. Otherwise I would've kept my distance and let it all happen.
I wanted to support this when I was made aware of it, so I did. I support it as a whole, so if people could address it as a whole, instead of picking one point to argue on, I think future discussion in this thread would be much more fruitful. |
