Veteran Status Now Automated
Now, if only banning was automated.

When the veteran user class was first introduced in mid-January 2003, the only way to produce users into official veterans was to contact an administrator. Since then, things did not change too much on the use and becoming of veterans -- until today.
Now, whenever you login, view, or use any part of the forums, the system will look into whether or not you have eligible authorization to become a veteran. (site portion coming in v4.0 build) The rules have altered as well: If you are registered for 1 full year and have 1000 or more posts credited towards your account, you'll be promoted to veteranship. |

Well, I can make an exception for you specifically or possibly a user option if more do not want to become veterans.
But in all honesty, you don't loose much by becoming a veteran. |

I suppose this will come in handy though, when we have like a massive amount of vets coming in.
I still feel strongly that the whole vet member group, along with the vet forum, should be eliminated. It's pointless and a waste of space. |
