Default  Details Released On New Item Shop
04.05.02, 19:36:38

UPDATE: The Item Shop has been reformatted and constructed. It's status is now 25% complete, with completion of Advanced, Intermediate, and Expert shops to still be reformatted. You can now go to the Item Shop and browse the Beginner shops, since me and Atropos are the only ones allowed past those.

UPDATE Please read this announcement, as it's EXTREMELY important in order to battle: http://forums.ffrepublic.com/announc...p?s=&forumid=2

Good evening, everyone! Although the battle system is running behind of schedule (due date was Thursday), I will make it up to you all -- I promise. I've taken a large amount of recent suggestions and got to thinking about our system. Our first rendition was within the Item Shop. The (NEW) Item Shop will show an even more advanced code with specific Item profiles. For example: Each item, when clicked, will show another page in which displays information about that specific item. On top of that, it'll display your current items and compare them together if you'd like. On each Item Profile, you'll be able to purchase the item as well*, if your RP is more or equal the cost of the item.

Another addition is more items! The items will also now be split into 5 slots, rather than 3. The new slots will include: Wrist and Helmet armor. All of the slots now are: Weapon, Body Armor, Wrist Armor, Helmet Armor, and Accessories.

Yet again, items have been rendered once again.. Our most requested feature within the Item Shop and Item System is -- Multiple items per slot. This feature will be added into the new Item Shop and System as well. An item inventory will be helpful when swapping items between battles. Although you will not be able to swap items while in battle, you will be to at any other time.

The new Item Shop will undergo construction ASAP. The Item Shop will be closed for reconstruction for that time. Expect the Item Shop to reopen later tonight or mid-tomorrow.

Hope this will enlighten you all to go out and plan those strategies. If anyone has any comments, concerns, suggestions, or questions on this matter, feel free to reply so within the thread.

NOTES:
* - If level requirement of item obtainment is surpassed or equal. Level requirements for each item will be displayed on the item's profile page.

Great improvement over the old itemshop ultima, however I am disappointed that the battle system is running behind schedule. I deeply appreciate all the work you have done so far, don't get discouraged, just keep facing forward!

Thanks Atropos. The Battle System is sooo close completion, but the Item Shop, Items, Item Stats, and User Statistics must be defined for every user first. Your Item will be about 50% of your statistics in battle. Elements, Clans, and various stats make up the other 50%.

Wow! That's whoopass! ^_^ I like the 5 slots and the new item profiles.

That sounds like alot of just writing in info. If you need any help making the item profiles, and there is any way I can help, then I'd be happy to.

This system appears to be very efficient compared to the earlier versions, we are moving in the right direction. I am actually glad that it's being revised.

Oh!! And I nearly forgot.. Items can also be gotten by combonations of other items. For example: A Dagger and a Mage Masher enables the option to buy the Butterfly Sword (Zidane, FF9). That is just one of the many combos used to obtain items. You must still pay for the RP cost of the item with combos though, and your two combined items will be taken away and outputted into the final product (In this case, the Butterfly Sword).

COMBOS AWESOME!!!! man this is shaping up to be amazing....the only thing i might not like is the email thing though...afterlab did you look at that script i showed you itd prolly be easier if i could check my email from this forum and all...

i have a question will the combined profuct also derrive all of the abilities of the older weapons or will it have its own unique set...if they take all the techs of the old weapons then thatd be nuts prolly make some serious variations of any weapons...

It's own unique set, unless those abilities are strengthened or transferred into the new combination.
