Default  [Important] RPG System Details
03.23.02, 15:06:28

Now, with the production of the code in full swing, more details can be released on the RPG system, developed here at FFR. Some things that were requested can't work, and some things that weren't requested may actually work. Read in on how it's all going to work:

Battle Management
This section of the Forums will be available to ONLY registered, or logged in users. It will show the user what current battles you're participating in, what battles have you added/requested, and what battles are preparing to start.

Adding A New Battle
To request a battle with someone, you can do so with our new "Request Battle" page, located within the Battle Management section. On that page, you can select who you'd like to challenge, a title of the battle, and what terrain you'd like to battle on. You may also type in a message for the challenger if you'd like.

Note: Users who select "no" for "Can battle" in their myRepublic, will not show up as an applicable challenger.

Fighting In A Battle
When you're fighting in a battle, you have the choice on when you'd like to fight. When the enemy has verified the fight, the challenger must click "Start Battle". From there, the challenger and enemy will have an image in which says "Open Battle". From there, both the users can select their attack, or if they'd like, item. Once you select your attack, you can go around the Forums and post.. After awhile, the enemy will select an action for their turn. Then you can go in and set another action (attack, item, etc..). The battle will go on like so for awhile, until the their is a winner. In which a winner will receive RP, a boost in EXP. Should their EXP be at 100%, they will boost a level, which gives them a higher HP and MP total.

Note: Both users will be able to "run away" during a battle, in which cancels the battle. In that case, the other user will receive a better count, just as if they won.

Yes, now the MP/HP will actually serve a much higher purpose. Everything is coming together faster than expected, so keep your seatbelts on because the ride is not over yet! *sticks thread*

Yet this maybe a bit unfair to newbies. How can they hope to fight someone who has been here longer? They'll have to wait. And I could never stand up against someone like afterlab even though I've been here longer than some.

Yes, I believe you have to use an item... That's why there are Phoenix Downs! XD

And newbies can select to not be available to fight in the myRepublic. And when they are stronger, they can turn it on.

If you die, the battle will be over, and the enemy will have won. Your status will then become "Dead", and to revive yourself you'll have to use a Phoenix Down so you can battle again. Some items will be available for out-of-battle.

I'm very glad that there is an option in MyRepublic which allows you to turn the battles off. Although the battle system sounds fantastic, I'm not going to start using it straight away. I shall observe the fights of others before I step into the deep-end, so to speak. I advise all of the new members to do the same - don't rush into a fight thinking you're going to win, you'll probably just die.

Don't forget me and some other experienced RP'ers will he available to train people who wish to become better. I haven't decided when this service will be offered yet. It may be before the system is finished, that's most likely.
