Hahaha, I was rallying for all these new mods back when REI was Admin. So I don't see how it's a publcity stunt. But your free to your opinion. 
Also, I stated this thread was also open to any complaints someone might've had. So Taran is only expressing his right to an opinion. |

For those of you that aren't very happy with the new staff members, let me say this...
They were modded for a reason. All of the members on that list have a good history here at FFR, have been great members, and deserved to be modded. User ID has nothing to do with what kind of moderator you'll make. Just because you have been here a long time, doesn't mean that you should be on the staff. That's not the way it works.
If you have complaints, please send them to Josuke. Anyways, congratulations to all of you who were modded. |

You can't read half a paragraph of text, yet you think you or your choices would be more qualified to be a moderator? I'm not going to dumb down what I say for you, just take your lack of intelligence and patience as another reason your opinion means little, and was not concerned in this entire ordeal.

Everything is political drama to you. The sooner you quit over-thinking, the sooner you'll stop worrying. I know many people who have been petetioning for more staff for quite a while, this wasn't just a "stunt" on the spur of the moment. It's not only Josuke who has complimented these candidates, it was a unanimous selection by all mods, veterans and newbies alike. Besides, he doesn't need to look good, his image was favorable before hand. If you have a problem with the selection, try making a decent and legitmate complaint instead of assuming your ideals were or should be a pivotal cog in any occurances on these forums, maybe you're not as big as you think. And please, for both our sake, don't make this personal.
This is a congradulatiory thread, can we save your petty and typical rebellion for another time? |

| True, all moderators were voted on by the staff members, not Josuke. Infact, like I think Jon already said in this thread, these were people Rei was going to moderate back when she was an administrator. So that kind of kills the plublicity stunt you are thinking of. |

You may not care what I think Taran, former clan leader or not, and I may be a newbie but I'll say this, it can't be a publicity stunt to make "new people high in authority". If anything it'll make Josuke less popular in the eyes of the veterans which don't like these changes such as yourself. Therefore, I would hardly call this a publicity stunt. Lighten up a lil. I'm sure the others will do their best to keep the forum in order, I know I'll do my best. |

I hate to say it, but I'm really disappointed that I wasn't modded. So many people on the prespective mod list were, and I can only assume, since my very (similar thinking) associates were modded, that it has to do with my post count, which is significantly lower than many people that have joined after me. Reguardless of all of the things we've been told, I guess your post count still means something. I feel pretty stupid now for restraining myself from posting on the 9/10ths of this message board that IS a follow-up thead, because I guess you just need to know things like which character I think would win in a fight or the final fantasy character I'd take to the prom for me to become a mod. I suppose keeping my mouth shut when my opinion has already been said or posting only where I think I may influence, educate, or entertain really didn't pay off in this run.
Its hard not to be willful about this, I'm sure Emerelda and Citan are likely asking some questions right now. |

I must say that I am also curious as to why you, Emeralda and Citan were not modded but I do believe that the staff knew better than us here. They checked the background of the members and determined their potential ability from there. As far as post count goes, I couldn't disagree more. The post counts of the new mods are highly diverse, ranging from the extremely high (Sakura Yume) to people with nearly the same count as you (myself.) There is really no reason to believe that post count determined the modship. |
