Staff changes

Due to a gradual decrease in overall activity and staff leaving either due to that activity or due to real life issues (something they refer to as 'college', whatever that is), FFR has been rather low on staff as well as on administrative actions. So, over the past few days and in the coming few days, the staff has seen some changes. The ones I can remember / have been listed in the staff section I'll list here:
- ECCENTRICHOCOBO: Moved to main Admin group, Head Admin was useless and has been removed.
- Aerosol: Resigned due to loss of overall interest.
- Turks: Removed due to zero activity outside of the staff section.
- Blitzballer: Removed due to zero activity outside the staff section and after indicating he doesn't have the time nor the interest to remain on staff.
- Crater Seraph: Removed from S. mod position due to inactivity. Still remains in the Tech Admin group, however.
- Ethereal: Resigned
- Khaeos Drao-Kin: Removed due to inactivity.
- M]: Resigned.
- Kionae: Remains as Admin
- Yours Truly (YopY): Promoted to Admin
There will be some more changes in the near future. We have already gotten reply from The Doctor that he is willing and able to return on staff directly. He was a staff member in the early days of the FFR revival, but he was removed due to inactivity due to internet problems.
More additional staffers will be added through the course of the coming period, as you may have noticed we currently don't have any regular moderators to go around. We're working on it though  . |

Ohh so that explains why this place is dying. So what are you going to do?
I guess if we make more activities for new members, then that would increase the activity, we could give a purpose to the RP and give the members a reason to earn them. Right now there is no use for the RP and that's why new people aren't posting because there is nothing new. Yeah I know that we have some new members joining in, but some of them end up leaving because of the inactivity of this forums. So, we must try to device an strategy in order to increase the overall activity.....any ideas?
PS: Sorry if my opinion is wrong, I know that I'm new around here, but I can see that the current inactivity and the spams from members of other forums is affecting the FFR. So let's give it our all and let's help the FFR to become a better place for Final Fantasy Fans!! |

If I am posting in this thread it might be because:- The poster above doesn't know the meaning of punctuation.
- The poster above said something freaking hilarious.
- The poster above made a good post, a rarity though.
- I was bored as hell thus had nothing better to do.
- The poster above must change their font because it hurts my eyes.

It may just be me, but in the last few days, things actually seem to have been active. At least more so than before.
I've plenty of ideas as to why, but I'll keep those to myself. |

Yes, we are currently working on updating the frontpage's layout as well as finding ways of attracting more visitors, using other websites like Digg.com and such.
Also, I'm going to take a look at what has been done so far with the Gold Saucer, the FFR shop currently in development. Development has kinda come to a stall after the departure of some of our technical staff, but they did leave behind the work they have done so far. I've already seen a shoutbox script, it seems pretty much ready, just needs a bit of work in the templates.
