Site loading super fast now

A few minutes ago I noticed the site was lagging... and my other two sites on the same server, anime one and transformers one were also down to their knees... quickly got on the phone with the hosting people and they said it's the ff forums account causing the load..
After a few minutes of thinking wtf I should do, I went ahead and told him to bill my credit card another 50 bucks a month and doubled the RAM from the 2 gigs it was at previously to the maximum 4 gigs... now FFR as well as my two other sites are loading very fast, in fact as quick as Google.com it seems to me.
Anyone else noticing extremely fast loading of the forums? |

It was lagging really bad for me this morning, but now as you say its loading super fast. Very nice of you mate.... |

It would be neat to see a parse time thingy at the bottom, so you have solid figures instead of appearance ^_^. The average FFR page has a lot more HTML and data that needs to be sent over to the viewers, so comparing it to Google... yeah.
Plus, Google's got a huge complex of a few hundred relatively cheap computers running enormously tweaked programming made in C (I think), which, well, beats a PHP / MySQL generated page instantly. So saying it's as fast as Google is a bit... debatable. |
