Done.

I'm going to leave this open for a fair bit though, anyway.

Finally, I just realized what was bugging me about Words's post when I responded to it the first time.

The staff are as big abusers of the system as anyone else on here.

The point had absolutely nothing to do with the staff.... I was offering my opinion on the subject, so drop the ****ing emo crap. The staff of FFR are not the center of my existance, regardless of what you may perceive to be the case.
Contradict yourself much?
No, not really. The first thing you quoted was the second point I made. The second thing you quoted was in reference to the first point that I made, which had nothing to do with the staff, and that was quite clearly stated.

I never said my second point had nothing to do with the staff. I simply said the the point you had responded to referencing the staff (the first one) had nothing do with them, which it didn't and still doesn't.

I reckon it'd just turn into another **** Although we could have staff as oversights to make sure Ministers weren't abusing their privileges, but that just makes me wonder why not have staff moderate the rep.

Actually. If it's really that sensitive an issue to everyone, I could (when I can be arsed, so probably this weekend) program in something that would prevent reputation values from even going through until they were approved by a staff member.
The only privilages they had would be to decide on a scale of -10 to +10 on a posts value, without limits. You'd need a nice diverse selection. So as it wouldn't be bias. Perhaps. Maybe the staff here could select people to be nominated. Therefore making the staff responsible for the possible candidates. Eitherway, there isn't much to abuse.

Ministers would increase the number of rep given out and triple itsvalue to the forum. You have a post count, great, but you also have a counter of how many times people think you kick arse, or a counter of how much of a drag you are to the forums. I'll be nice, but if I think your idea is gay, I'll say so. Why oh why should rep be moderated? My opinion should not be moderated. Subsequent actions of petty chivalry and hurt feelings should be moderated.

Limiting negative rep is dumb and defeats the object of the system.

The way you made the post implied that your complaints would not be fixed because you felt the staff were as big abusers as everyone else (you still haven't indicated how that is the case, by the way). And I hardly see where you made it at all clear that your first point had nothing to do with us. It's not like you went out of your way to praise our good judgment in this matter or anything; hell, you immediately proceeded to insult it!

I praise good judgement where good judgement is made.

Repeated again. You said my first comment was a sideways stab at the staff. I pointed out that it wasn't. You then use my second point as some sort of proof of a contradiction that I never made. Simply as that.

Didn't you say you were finished with the issue anyway? Why exactly are you bringing it back up, especially when both of us had stopped talking about it?

I said your post was a sideways swipe at the staff. Which it was.

No, I didn't. Unless I made some magical post that I'm suddenly not able to see now, but you are.

Because it wasn't thoroughly discussed and, quite frankly, I find your attitude to have been rather insulting?
