And? The point of the thread was to vote on the issue, not to have some big discussion on the subject. What the point of a vote of the admin is going to try and counter the points the people who are meant to be voting on the subject make? It completely defeats the point.
Don't be picking me out of the crowd just because you don't agree with my opinion. You do it with practically every single post I make concerning the forums.

The point of a voting process is for people to decide. Not to debate an issue. That was the point of EC's thread.

In case you didn't notice, there was a rather important omission from the previous poll, so it hardly counts as fair to eliminate the rep system until all options have been equally weighed, does it?

Because people aren't always going to agree with each other, I shouldn't bother to argue my point? I'm not sure what you're driving at. At least I'd like to know why other people feel as they do; maybe my disagreement will drag some elaboration out of them.
I also find it rather amusing that you address the two of us as if we're different people. Didn't the identical avatar give it away? |

The added poll options are marginal. Making rep private would decrease its use to a point lower than it already is. Removing comments actually encourages abuse. Moderating comments creates more work for you, but hey, be my guest .
That's why the new options are silly. If people had reservations to removing the system, they would've voted to keep it, but have made suggestions in the last thread. That's not what most people did, though. Most people just want the system gone.
As to the avs - I should have figured, but I thought maybe you were both just using premade site avs, or something. |
