Because of the lack of quality posting in the "serious" forum, I have decided that we need a crackdown on spammy/useless posts. I'm saving myself (another) long-winded post, juts read this, please: http://forums.ffrepublic.com/showthr...511#post525511

I think maintaining quality posts needs to be stretched further across the forum than just balamb gardens. It needs to be pretty much forum wide really (except S7P of course). This a good start though, hope you guys can enforce it.

For sure, and it will be. This is the first major step, but I think Balamb needed to be addressed seperately because there is much less room for b.s. posting. I will be enforcing it, at least, and I'm sure other staffers will as well.

psh, i enforce that myself as a given standard by verbally *****slapping transgressors.
it'll be fine, especially for now until more members arrive to post there. i'd worry more about the rest for now. either way, much appreciated

I guess I must be the only one who likes the layed back atmosphere (even in Balamb) where you don't have to organise our posts in a certain way just so that they live up to a certain "standard of quality".

Last time I checked, that's also why most of the members enjoyed posting here.

You can still make three sentences before three lines. Would you prefer that, or three lines or more?

Neither, to be honest.

Sometimes a point can be made in just a few words, at least when used in the right context.

Cant you enjoy posting at a higher quality too? Higher quality posts and threads generally make better discussions. Personally I think its great having a bit of a relaxed atmosphere when it comes to post quaity sometimes, but that sort of thing belongs in the club/clan threads, and in S7P. The other areas of the forum can then actually be used for decent discussions instead of threads that look like they've been created just so that the creator can raise his/her post count easily. In other words they're completely pointless and not interesting at all.
