What killed the previous versions of FFR was the lack of substance.

I don't think Edman's a questionable owner. He really wants to see what's best for the site, and he wouldn't have bought it and spent all this time trying to make sure things will run smoothly if he didn't care.
And I strongly believe that having good community involvement and interaction will keep the site going. Sometimes it might be spammy, but as long as it's reasonable, it's not going to necessarily kill the site. |

The general forum policy (and there's plenty of discussion about this) is that a little light-hearted spam is perfectly fine as long as it doesn't get to the point where it completely consumes the thread.
If you start getting totalitarian about what people can post, it starts scaring people off posting in the first place, and that's the last thing we want to happen.
One thing I believe this forum has (currently) is plenty of substance. 
On the subject of this thread, this isn't so much a "what do I want to see done", as opposed to a "what's the progress of something that's already been done" question. The Gold Saucer. Talk's been quiet about it lately, even in the staff forum, so I may as well ask here as anywhere else. How's the implementation coming along? |
