| If we do revive it we're going to require a fair amount of RP or rep just to even be able to use it, which means that people would actually have to strive to be good members of the community. We think this will decrease the amount of n00bishness attracted by it. And if it doesn't, it at least affords us an opportunity to laugh at the ridiculous n00bs who don't manage to get the rep and RP they want due to being n00bs. |

i don't mind a battle system since it does help attract people. some of our best members at this site had originally come for the system we had, and just stuck around as quality posters; the losers usually don't stay long anyway.
i'm also for getting the affiliates back and all of that, as long as the site is advertised like it was before. the reason i originally liked this place so much was because of the sheer size and activity compared to the average FF board
by the way, a shoutbox is not a shoutbox if it involves using a thread somehow. i'd actually use a real shoutbox, not the joke that we have on the side right now |

I was talking about adding a real shoutbox but several people were angsting over the idea. However, screw it. I'll add one tomorrow 
edit: assuming I remember. If I haven't added one by this time tomorrow, bug me about it. |

Also, I'm sure it wasnt like that before because although it says Khaeos joined in 2001, his user ID is quite a bit higher than most of the other people who joined in 2002.
Maybe Jonny or Saizuchi or someone like that will know more about this.

Yeah, afterlab and I changed our join dates to when we originally joined the forums. Nick changed his to "look better" I guess. Khaeos' join date is a mystery to me. Perhaps he joined earlier under a different ID, but his account was deleted. We did this for other members as well. |
