Signature Guidelines

We have come to a general consensus in the Staff Lounge as to appropriate signature sizes and content. Here goes:
Rules pertaining to image content in sigs follows the same guide for the general board: no nudity, no offensive material, no discrimination, etc. If there is a shadow of a doubt in your mind as to whether or not it is acceptable, don't use it, or PM myself or another member of the staff for evaluation.
Images:- Maximum Image Size: The maximum size for the main image in a user's signature is 500 px X 150 px.
If table streching does occur, the image will be deleted from the user's signautre and the owner will be sent a PM in notification (including a link to the image incase you're not hosting it).
Other images are required to be considerably smaller than the main image (guild banners are sexy when stacked at 330 px X 20 px, by the way).
- Maximum Tags: Members are allowed only three image tags total. For the time being, this includes guild banners, rewards and miscellaneous other images you may want.
Text: - In order to prevent people from putting their whole life story or "uber-1337 FFR family" in their sig, we are limiting text to eight lines maximum.
Pretty self explanitory. I'm sure we can all agree it's annoying having to scroll through a person's sig wondering if they had fun rewriting the Odyssey.
Maximum Signature Size:- Your sig in whole is not to be larger than 400 px vertically. This may limit my singing of "This is the sig that never ends..."
That is all. These regulations are subject to change at any time, but this is how it stands now. If a person is repeatedly asked to adhear to these guidelines, official warnings may be issued. If you have reservations about this format, please send me a PM, I will be more than happy to bring it up to staff. |
