That explanation seems highly inaccurate to be honest.
I remember Mazen making Kirstin an admin, Mazen kicking a load of staff, re-arranging the admins and everyone getting up in arms about it; a lot of drama, Mazen left for FFXI. The place got hacked again. Mazen got ****ed off and closed it for "renovations" that never happened, board re-opened, Mazen made more mistakes; got pissed off further and suffered mass revolt so deleted the place out of angst.
Well yeah, there was a lot of **** that I blew off as an "erratic" admin style in the interests of diplomacy. Although really it's more likely that I couldn't be arsed to go back and think of all the retarded admin decisions he made, since they're so cringeworthy. And ****.
Well, ACF hasn't always been a ****hole, and it's hardly your fault that it's turned into one (in fact, you're part of the reason it didn't turn into one sooner). But then, EoFF wasn't a ****hole back in the day either, and I don't think it's really due to the quality of the staffers either, just the fact that they've decided it's better to ban members than use diplomacy to sort out the problems they've solved.
Meh. I don't really want this to turn into a discussion of the politics of other boards. I probably shouldn't even have mentioned them in my opening post.
Meh, I'd be lying to you if I didn't have nostalgia for the good ol' days. My average post count has been cut to like... half, and I'm actually getting scolded for inactivity.

Both are correct, actually. About a week before the site was shut down under Mazen he made me the head admin (opened all the templates and such) as he was leaving the site staff and was just going to be the owner. I informed him that I was going to be gone for another week (I had left for Santa Rosa before) to see my family in Modesto. He told me he was going to close down the site while I was gone because apparently he didn't trust anyone else to "hold down the fort," and when I got back, he wouldn't put it back up.
But I'm 100% possitive the reason why he wanted it down while I was gone was for all the points you mentioned above *nod*
