Welcome to FFR's First Poetry contest
Welcome one and all to FFR's very first Poetry contest brought to you by Gadwinus and Desert Rose. The poetry scene has been in full swing around here recently, thus we are going to have ourselve a little contest. The contest will end in 2 weeks time on the 19th of october.

I don't have many poems, but I'll start out the conesto with my time poem.
Will it ever stop
on it rages
it leaves me no chance
it puts every second behind
no care to relenquish with acquiscence
will it ever give periodic bliss
the time a rampant devil
not of inferno but frigid clarity
it stings at me
i try to hide myself from it, fleet its enrapture
surreal success is vain
maybe i'll continue my efforts
under the concatenation of hopes
the enshroudment of futility |

Just Sitting Here
It's my poem, respect

You looked at me once
So I looked deep in your eyes
Maybe it was just a hunch
But I could see through all the lies
You can bend my ear
We'll take a walk in rain
But no matter what I hear
I'll never forget any of that pain
I can still remember the first night
That time sitting there by the open fire
Your eyes, they gleamed so in the moonlight
But now that I'm gone, you've got no one else to admire
So this is the end
Now I'm just sitting here
Thinking back to the days
The days of pain, and the days of joy
Well my heart was always open
My eyes clouded by dreams
Your words, twisted to lies
Time seemed so slow, but now it rushes by
I know that you're sorry
I am in my own way too
But now there's just one thing I want you to know
And that's that in the end, you have to let go

Understanding
you don't even know
you couldn't understand
the pain in my head
everything i said
but what do you expect
what are you hiding
why all the pain
why all the lying
why must we live this way
ruled by expectations of ancient sayings
barred by fear of failure and shame
disgraced and decayed by verbal rapings
and what does it do to me
nothing you could possibly see
to put ease to the internal fire
nothing could take me higher
nothing can relieve the pain
nowhere to hide but can't retire
can't just run
can't escape
cornered by shadows of love and hate
for there is no happiness
without tradegy
no light
not encumbered by shadows
those are the cold equations
that make our hell
that make our life
that set our fate
that pave our path
that make it too late
for us to care
for us to see the light
for this light
does not exist
till the end of the seemingly endless tunnel
enshrouded by dark deafening concrete walls
and peering down the desolate plain
i wonder why
but there is no answer
why even wonder
if we would know
could we
if we did know
would we want to
screw the wondering
damn the fate
live it up
dismiss the too late

Here's my entry..I wrote it..The title is Faith in God
Faith in God
I sit in my broken down trailer today
Thinking why things have to be this way
Wishing it will all just go away but then comes another day
Working for nothing to put food in my stomach
It's enough to make a grown man vomit
Getting hasseled by bill collectors
Working for pennies like Cuban defectors
Wishing it will all just go away but then comes another day
Just got evicted by the landlord
He served me a notice on my frontdoor
Didnt have the balls to tell me face to face
Im a man with nothing to lose I have falling from grace
Wishing it will all just go away but then comes another day
Im losing my faith in God
Im thinking he is fraud
If he loves me so much then why does he make me live this life
I wish he would just let me die
I think I will just get high
Grab my shotgun and aim it towards the sky
Say **** you God and take my life
Then I think to myself, what difference would it make
Even in death I will still be awake
Wishing it will all just go away but then comes another day
I had a brush with death today
Got into a wreak and almost fried
Inside the car there I lie
Beatin and battered but still alive
Then I saw him in the sky
Smiling down on me, it made me cry
The image of him was so devine
He winked at me and I winked back
To think that I almost died
I was saved by the creater who appeared in the sky
This life is worth living,I thought as I cried
Wishing it never goes away
Thankful to see another day |

I scream and shout
Yet the pain inside me never comes out
My emotion on the verge of bursting
Tears pouring from my face from the pain
My life cannot continue
Till the want inside me comes out
