Isn't it Funny?
Isn't it funny?
The way these things turn out?
We both wanted the same thing,
Yet we were in doubt,
Isn't it absurd?
That we couldn't be?
Then things started to change,
And then you suddenly saw me,
Isn't it strange?
That we weren't always friends?
Even when we had our problems,
We could always make amends,
Isn't it peculiar?
That we were always there?
We'd always try to listen to each other,
Even if it were things we couldn't bear,
Isn't it curious?
That I loved you so?
I'd always try to hide it,
You weren't supposed to know,
Isn't it amusing,
That you loved me so,
And didn't try to hide it,
You wanted to let me know,
Isn't it funny?
The way things turned out to be?
We both wanted the same thing,
And now you've enraptured me...

Okay, I write one line,
I write the next, right?
So you understand now?
I believe I do, love.
You see, things weren't...
Always this way...
One time we used to...
Fight and argue...
But those days are...
Over now, we are...
Together now, so much...
Pleasure, yet so much...
Pain. To live without...
You, is to live without...
Air. To live without...
You, is to live without...
Water. To live without...
You, is to live without...
Living at all. I couldn't...
Breathe without air, and...
I can't breathe without...
You. I can't see without...
Your guidance. I can't feel...
Without you feeling it too...
I can't exist without you...
Existing along side me...
I can't laugh without...
You laughing with me...
So we are one in the same...
We are one another, we are...
One being in two separate...
Lives. Two celestial beings...
Destined to meet. We are...
Meant for each other. We...
Will always be meant for...
Each other. We will never...
Lose each other. We...
Will always be together...
Never apart. I love you...
Too deeply to ever hurt...
You. I look into your eyes...
And I see myself in them...
I see part of me in you and...
I love it. I love to see my...
Influence reflected in you...
I love to watch you smile...
I love to hear you laugh...
I love to watch your words...
Unfold in front of me...
And form the words I so...
Look forward to seeing...
At the end of every day...
You are my soul mate...
Kindred spirits. To have...
Finally found one so like...
Me and yet so different...
Is indescribable. Words to...
Describe your perfection...
Do not exist. Only the sight...
Of you brings your perfection...

I wrote these two poems about a certain someone in my life at the time. I missed him so much when he was gone and that's essentially what the second one was about. The first one was about how it all worked out in the end. I loved you dearly, Mitch, and still do as a friend.  *cuddles and escapes with dignity* |

The Boy
If I were a rose,

Never Alone

In the movies, the ones we said we could be part,
Of, a little sweet surrender from our reality, back to you again,

NB: The first poem was about loving someone no matter what. The example of being hurt was probably not a terribly good one but it works for me.
The second poem was about finally finding that one person you've been missing your entire life. You feel alone on a crowded planet until you find them. Like a missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle.
The third poem is basically meaning that most people who fall in love are quite the opposite of one another. I don't like the last 2 lines but meh.
The last poem is my pride and joy. It's about feeling that you're never alone when you know they is going to be someone there for you in the end. It's about falling in love and even though you hate being apart, you know that if you keep the memory of them in your heart you wont ever really be seperated.
