How do you write?
Usually I just sit down and write and all my poetry comes out smoothly and easily.
Sometimes, I force myself to write something - anything. Hell, once I went to a spam forum, started a thread and started writing all sorts of things in there. One post, it'd be about love, the next post would be about war, and the next was about... a mouse. I came away with some very moving pieces. I haven't written in a while.... probably because I get depressed around my birthday therefore suffer from writer's block then.
So I'm curious. How do you people get your inspiration or get moved to actually siddown and write? |

| Usually what inspires me to write...is that in two hours time it has to be handed in...BUt if im prepared...i have to listen to music...anything...i just cant work in peace and silence..... |

| My poetry comes out of me when i have just experienced a very emotional experience. Death of a loved one, leaving of my love, relationship troubles. things like that. I just sit and write when it comes to me, doesnt matter if i have to write it on a napkin. I need to get it out or ill loose it. |

| Napkin.... =) I remember those kind of moments. Does anyone carry a pen and notepad or something like that around "just in case"? |

| I do actually..only if i have my bag with me....actually i wrote a poem during wacthing the exorcist on DVD and its in the peotry thread i think....I got an A for if and passed my peotry module last year...couldnt believe it ..it was spur of the moment stuff too.... |

| Most spur of the moment stuff are the best. =) I'm all for crafting poetry carefully, but the poem has to come from SOMEWHERE, and I don't believe on working on the technicalities beforehand. |

| Sometimes I just write short phrases on post-it notes, then I combine them with other phrases. |
