Actually, this poetry belongs to my sister. I begged her to let me post some here, and finally convinced her that it would allow her to get some feedback on her work!  So please, post your honest opinion. NOTE: Some of these poems are graphic and may invoke disturbing images.
Just one for now... 
Red Tears
I wait patiently for the light to break through
This darkness that has become me
Wondering why I do so much for others
And nothing for myself
I chastise thoughts and connections as
Tears drip forth from my skin
Those pure and unblemished red tears that bring me a sense of security
I watch as they stream down my body
The power returns and I am in control
Yet the hollow, the emptiness follows closely behind
I must not be normal
These thoughts will not leave my head
Does anyone sheds these tears?
These pure and unblemished red tears that bring me a sense of security
I watch as they stream down my body
I can no longer fight the demons within
Something inside me has broken
And the pure and unblemished red tears
Are my only way out |
