Quote:
We're all in some naive world.
It's everything I shouldn't want to do.
Truthfully, I never thought anything of it,
Until that one desecrated night
When Jupiter looked down at me and decided
That I needed a little more work, after all.
Play a dirge for my old exsistence.
Cry out loud for what's to come.
I'm unfond of bodies.
Wouldn't it be nice to just be a mind and a soul?
That way, we wouldn't worry about
Abusing ourselves,
Abusing others,
Only about abusing the minds we got stuck with.
We tape our feelings to the wall
It's not as permanent as paste or nails
Expelling the major renovations,
That what we used to be started,
And replace the sour bitter ugliness,
With chocolate dipped strawberries.
Climbing like a rose on a trellis
Until someone knocks it down
Keeping in stride is kind of hard when you're as small as we are,
Our legs will never be long enough to keep up with change,
It's always running ahead of us before we get a chance to, throw things in the cart that we think we need.
Don't you just want to punch a hole in the sky sometimes?

Just removed a few spelling errors, added some grammar thar and such. Also, its set out extremely weird for a poem. Not that the poem is weird itself, just the layout of it. |
