"Many years ago...I lived out of Jueno in a forested area my family named. 'Thoreau's Walden'." A smirking young man steps forward out of the shadows and watches as five Quadav go by.
"That was so long ago...all I remember is the land it's self." Sneaking behind the Quadav in the back close to the ground he reaches up and grabs it from behind slitting it's throat.
"The faces of my mother and father a blur..." Carrying it back into the shadows he lays the downed foe on the ground and continues against the wall of the caverns with a sinister smile on his face.
"But..." A light surrounds the young man as he casts haste on himself. "I remember her..." He slowly begins to run to the Quadav group leaping in the air a voice calls out to him.
"Augustus...Augustus" Awaking from his slumber the young Augustus Ghetz rubs his head.
"What do you want Marleen?" He grunts getting out of bed and pulling the covers away from himself.
Marleen enters the room holding a spatula. "You do know that you have to go chop wood right?"
Augustus simply continues putting on his clothes. "Yes, I do."
Marleen slowly huffs. "Well hurry up breakfast is getting cold." Leaving the room she looks back at her younger brother who is gazing softly out of the window. "And goodmornin' squirt."
"Goodmornin' to you too..." Augustus walked over and fell back on the bed just a few seconds after Marleen had left the room.
"Is it normal to be in love with your sister?" Augustus holds his hand up in the air and gazing off into space. "Sad I can never tell her I love her."
Getting up out of bed he pouts leaving the room only to hear the loud booming voice of his father. "RENEE I HAVE A QUEST TO DO!!!"
Peeking into the room where his mother and father resided, Augustus watched as it seemed a faceless puppet show was taking place right in front of him. "AHHH AUGUSTUS!! TELL YOUR MOTHER IMPORTANCE OF A MAN'S DUTY!!!" His faceless father yells his way.
"Arlis...don't you dare get our son in on your lack of parental support." Renee growls out her words to him and walks past Augustus into the hallway.
"I sure got her pissed. My dear boy never ever ever make the woman you love mad." Augustus looks blankly at his faceless father.
Yelling from the Kitchen, Renee spat out, "ARLIS AND AUGUSTUS GET YOUR ASSES IN HERE AND EAT THIS FOOD NOOOOW!!!" Arlis simply slumps down and walks towards the kitchen followed by Augustus.
They both sat down and began to eat. Marleen sat next to her brother. Augustus couldn't understand why having Marleen near him made his heart race but he enjoyed it thinking to himself, "I can't be in love with Marleen. I just can't."
Looking out the side of his eyes at his sister's face he barely heard his father speaking. "Augustus!?!" He turned to look at his father.
"Good I have your attention...finally." Arlis pointed his fork at Augustus as a sign to start his interrogation. "So have you decided whether or not you will become a Paladin like your father and join the Duchy of Jueno's Special Forces?"
Emotionlessly Augustus looks in his father's eyes and states,"I will do no such thing. You know I am in training to become a Puppet Master." Arlis slaps his forehead.
Stating as a joke Arlis counters,"I don't think Marleen likes the Aht Urhgan region. Right my dear daughter?" Marleen unknowningly agrees with Arlis and she continues eatting her breakfast.
Augustus glares at Arlis. "Good then I'll just become a Dark Knight. That fits in well with my personality." A sharp shiver goes up Augustus' spine when he feels Marleen pat his leg. He looks away blushing hard.
"Lil Bro you can be whatever you want. I think you will do very well in everything." Marleen smiles at him but he can't bare to look at her. "And dad you already know that I and Augustus leave tommorow for the Kingdom of San d'Oria. We will stop by the Knights Guild and maybe we'll both join."
Arlis hops up a stomps his foot on the table in excitement causing all of the dish to fly up for a sec. "GREAT! ONE STEP CLOSER TO BEING A PALADIN! TALK TO BALASIEL!! HE'LL HELP YOU FAST!"
The day went on as normal. Dad getting yelled at by Mom, Marleen cleaning the house and feeding the animals and me hunting for food and getting all of the outdoor chores done. But that night seemed weird.
Marleen knocks on the door to Augustus' room. "Can I come in?" She begins to open it after a few seconds of silence to find Augustus deep asleep laying on his side.
She slowly walked over to him and sat on the bed. "Why do you have to be my brother..." She began to move the blonde locks from Augustus' face. "I would much rather have you as my husband." Leaning down and kissing him softly on the lips and whispers in his ear, "Augustus I love you."
To her surprise his arm wrapped around her waist causing her to gasp lightly. "Marleen...I...love you too." Augustus half awake from his slumber began to lean up and kiss her again. "Marleen...is this a dream?"
She put her finger over his lips and smiles at him, "No..." She lunges and falls on top of him. "Tommorow we don't leave here as Brother and Sister...Marleen Ghetz and Augustus Ghetz no longer exist..."
Augustus blinks and begins to caress her back, "Then who are we?" He moves the hair from her face with his free hand.
She replies,"We leave as..." She softly kisses him again with yet more passion. "Husband and Wife...Claude and Maria Heavens."
"For you I will do it Marleen...I mean Maria Heavens." As they kiss Marleen begins to disrobe herself to become one with her husband...Claude Heavens.
