All them jap characters look alike to me anyways. I mean, take a regular anime... same faces, just slightly different dimensions on overall face shape and sometimes eyes etc.
That's certainly the case with a lot of Anime, but in very recent times, there's a lot more originality to anime characters now. More distinction between them.

I think she does bear resemblance to many FF females, such as Yuna.
But that is surely the fault of the artist, like people say Tifa and Rinoa look the same, but that's not intentional, it's how the artist (Tetsuya Nomura) designs his characters.
It would be nice to see a completely original design out of him.

But I think the character in FFXIII Versus is looking interesting.

They don't look that much alike though - the hair (from what i've seen) is vastly different. The eyes, though the same size, are different.

I've decided the Yuna comparisons are dumb, she doesn't look much like Yuna except for the hair colour. I think she has more similarities, at least in the face, to Ashe.

I'm more interested in the Versus XIII guy than the chick from XIII. She reminds me too much of Cloud. Versus guy is hot.

The trailer was very awesome, but I can't be arsed to be excited over FF in general.

I think this applies to a lot of western/American comic brands like Marvel as well. Formulaic artistry is never good but oh, so usual, cross-culturally.

That being said, anime has an undeniable tendency to be artistically formulaic, of course.

Guess you're right about that. But at least their suits are often different . Eh, I'm not too much a fan of any comic to be honest, so I wouldn't really know. I see loads of anime and stuff in people's signatures and such though.

The Yuna looking chick, in one of the screenshots, she's posing remarkably like Tifa in AC when she gets thrown on the wall...odds that they used the same render?
