Name: Dais
Age: Twenty-Seven
Height: 5’8
Gender: Male
Race: Humanoid
Title: The Huntsman

Facial Description: Dais’s dark brown hair is ruffled and reaches down as far as the eyebrows on his ovular face. His features are like stone, hard and cold, though his eyes are a radiant brown. He has a sharp nose and his ears are likewise, more elven than human. Upon his face lie the marks of old battle scars and fresh cuts from the hunt.

Body Armour Description: Dais is all about flexibility and comfort and thus metallic forms of armour do not appeal to his tastes. Rather, a jerkin made of tanned buffalo hide makes up for his upper body armour while khaki-shaded leather makes up the trousers with a simple belt fastening the trousers to Dais’s body. Of course this does leave Dais for the most part susceptible to attacks but he feels that if he’s as skilled as he believes he is then being hit is the least of his worries.

Weapons: Suspended from the left side of the waist belt Dais possesses are a hunting knife and its tanned skin residence. The knife is an extraordinary piece of equipment, hallowed by many a magician and holy man. The handle of the knife’s insides are made of metal but plated over that is sandalwood and over that, small strings of bluish-black cord wrap. The wood provides weight to the knife while the cord wrap provides a firm place to grasp the knife by. The grip of the knife is made to fit perfectly in Dais’s hand, giving even more competence to the weapon. The blade itself is not quite as lengthy as that of a machete but longer still than that of a switchblade and unlike either it is serrated. This segment of the knife is ideally used for gutting cadavers, the killing of game and, as is often necessary, humans.

The belt doesn’t serve to hold the knife alone but is also lined with numerous pouches containing a variety of items, ranging from smaller throwing knives to poisons to tranquillisers and even explosive powders for emergency cases. In addition to this, there are a number of pouches which hold medicinal herbs. One, for example, holds leaves that when chewed eliminates pain if at the cost of slower reactions. Adding to this already lengthy list, one pouch holds numerous lock picks, matches, a looking glass and everything else one would need to survive for extended periods in the wilderness.

Skills: All hunters must be able to skin an animal for its hide but they aren’t made to do much else, save other common talents anybody can do. In the long hours of waiting a hunter must endure, Dais has taught himself multiple talents to waste the time away, including instrument playing, woodworks and other such useless time-spending hobbies. He is athletic and has been noted as being feline in his nature though his love lies with canines.

Personality: Dais is a witty son of a gun, gifted with a silver tongue and a brain to use it. He can talk his way out of almost any situation and can haggle for a good until the price is generally two times less then original. This blessing comes with a curse. Though sharp, his tongue is also crude. Just as easy as he can cause somebody to become enamoured with him he can cause somebody to dislike him, usually through massive amounts of swearing. It is to be noted that Dais is very partial with alcohol.

Family History: Dais was born to Peter Abbot and Hannah LeFrey, the former being a descendent of the Vanstone regal throne. Although Dais dropped the last name, it remains a fact that he is the sole living survivor of the Vanstone lineage and though this means jack squat to Dais, to those who formerly served the king it means everything. Yet they don’t know that he lives still and Dais prefers to keep it that way for he considers the idea of regency tiring and a bore.

(Need to make some updates to the wording but otherwise my favourite profile)
