| why not delete all the accounts that have no posts, or haven't been active in more than say 3 months? |

| the Infogrames forums have over 60.000 accounts, and only about 5% of the people there actually post really... :/ |

| We don't need to free up any usernames as of yet. As Kura said, there aren't even 1000 members at FFR yet. There will be one day, but until then, things are fine. |

Even with a 1000 members it won't matter, nor with 2000 members. Maybe once you reach 5000 and are on a crappy webserver, but generally speaking, it doesn't matter until you reach into multiple dozens of thousands of members. 
It's PHP and MySQL and optimized to handle massively large communities. Seriously, it doesn't matter really if there's a lot of members, not until you get into the many many thousands.... |
