I never wanted rep to be disable-able in the first place. But most of the rest of the staff didn't want the rep system at all. We came as a result to this compromise which, like so many compromises, pleases no one at all.
Last time we forced everyone to use the rep system, there was *****ing like you wouldn't believe. I wound up being the one who had to deal with most of it, and frankly, I couldn't be arsed in the end.  I think it comes up disabled by default, though, and really, it'd be a lot better the other way around. If someone restores my FTP access, I'll remedy that |
