Nah, no political bull****. No staff bashing. Nothing like that.
I just...think that this needs to be taken care of, as soon as possible.
FFR has a lot of senseless drama lately, I think we can all agree with that. And...well, there's not much else, really.
Now, I don't really care if it stops or not. Doesn't involve most of us. But there are things around here that need to change. I would've posted in the suggestions thread, but...well, I kinda feel like that thread's being ignored. And there are issues that I believe deserve immediate attention. These are things that we, both members and staffers, can start fixing right now.
The spam.
Look around. o.- Pretty much the ONLY activity lately...is spam. In clan threads and such, that's not really a problem...but when it's spreading to Balamb, I think something needs to be done. Members(myself included) need to start making quality posts, and the staff needs to enforce the rules. If you see someone spamming, why not give them a nudge in the right direction? I know most of us are bored with the forums lately, but spamming the **** out of everything isn't going to help anything.
And...the hostility.
I'm guilty of this myself. Haven't you guys noticed how...well, mean people have been lately, including staffers?
As much as I believe that some people deserve to be bashed, it's getting out of hand. We keep this up, FFR's going to lose even more members. It's that simple. I think that warnings should be issued for that kind of behavior from now on, before it gets any worse.
If you feel this thread is unnecessary, close it or whatever. I'm just sick of seeing FFR this way, and I hope the staff will start doing their jobs. |

I agree with you on this Nic, things around FFR just don't seem to be running quite so smoothly. Things haven't been the best for a lot of us lately, and I think it is all starting to build up. Don't worry, the staff is working its best to fix any issues that have gotten out of control. Sorry if this is not quite what you were hoping for, but changes will be made as soon as possible |

I agree with the spam...
But the bashing is a DIFFERENT THING... The mods in the past have been too soft on some of the members who do **** all with their posts... I spam, guilty, but I at least make sense. Some people write their posts without even considering anybody other than themselves can understand it. And then if we try telling them nicely that we don't understand, they argue. Such wenches deserve to be dealt the good backhand of grammer. *nods* Positive Enforcement. Bashing |

That's where I think the staff needs to come into it.
If someone's making worthless posts, like SpiritWarrior is still doing, warn the mother****ers. It shouldn't be going so far that the members have to insult someone to shut them up.
...Actually, doesn't even seem to shut them up anyway. -_-
I'm getting sick of staying here lately. It just seems like it's futile to try and improve things, when no one's listening... o_O |

True that... And SpiritWarrior made a NAZI comment... He said not everybody should have opinions... He really deserves for HIS ARSE TO BE BANNED...
They need to be banned if they continue acting like dumbasses... WN suggested slayer dude use a bloody spell checker and still the guy posts horridly... I GIVE UP... |

Balamb seems to have been going down the bog for ages, it's happened to all the great debate forums I've come across on forums, quite frankly we ran out of things to discuss and after ten times talking about Iraq, gay marriage, the death penalty and Religion get's boring as ****. As a result we've lost activity there and quality, except for the ****ty posts we do get at the moment. Now personally I don't want to destroy the little activity we do have in there at the moment, but if things pick up and some of us start posting some new and original discussions then I imagine the modding would also pick up in there.

A trolling warning or something should be instated but the problem with that is there's a fine line between someone having a little fun, I personally wouldn't want to start dishing out warnings because some of our members react in an over the top manner to some things. Take Kosai for example, he made a thread asking if people hate him, asking for our opinions, he got our opinions and no flames, but he got all pissy about it.
One thing you can't do is force people to like each other or be nice to each other really, but we could do without the constant persecution of our members I guess, so something should be sorted about that. But not to an oppressive nazi-ish extent. |

A warning system has been applied, as there wasn't one before. Whenever I catch intentional spam in the wrong areas, I'll be sure to issue warnings from now on. Hopefully this will increase on the posting quality? I should think so.
There has been a lot of drama lately, I agree, and I've been apart of it all too, I know. I think that's pretty much sorted and over with now though, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. |

I think the entire staff (former staff just recently demoted) needs to put aside its differences and learn to work together. it's obvious that if the people recently demoted remain demoted, there's going to be lingering resentment, and lingering resentment, I know from experience, is a very bad thing for a message board in the middle of a crisis like this one. You may not get on with each other at all, but you've all been put as staff together and if the message board is going to survive, you're going to have to work together. That means not ignoring a problem by demoting people if things go wrong, it means trying to sort out your issues.
A board I admin is going through a similar situation right now; at this point, we've made it a global policy amongst both staff and members to ignore past disagreements and try to make the board as good a place as it can be. It seems to be working pretty well. Something like that needs to be instated here, I think. |

I just think we need to start talking to each other more and chill the **** out, seriously some people need to care less about being professional or about whatever it is and just like take it easy, that'd sort it |
