Ok, first of all...I ADMIT that when I was a mod, I'd delete posts without telling the person I was going to.
And now, I apologize. I'm honestly sorry, you guys. And to everyone I might've confused or angered by doing so, I'm...really sorry. I...meh. -____- I am truly sorry, and now I see how goddamn annoying and confusing it can be.
However, aside from some clan threads I deleted(as per request of other staffers), most of the stuff I deleted was spam and one-word replies.
Anyway, I think this REALLY needs to stop. It wasn't until I was off staff and have been a normal member for a while, and have been having my posts deleted for NO REASON...that I realize how wrong it is.
And yeah, this is probably an issue that I wouldn't have brought up or even noticed if it hadn't affected me personally. But if it's affecting me, it's probably affecting others as well. I would've PMed this to an admin or something, but I wanted to see if it's happened to anyone else.
I've been noticing that several of my posts lately have been being deleted. And not my SILLY posts, oh no. My serious posts that contain valid points. I can't help but feel that the staff is doing this to cover their own asses.
My most recent example is my post in this thread. Now, Mederu(or whoever deleted the posts, but I assume that since she closed it, she also deleted things) left the posts from Dromar, Galadrius, and Citan. But hers, in which she was telling them all to "shut up and play nice" in a very immature fashion, and my post, where I pointed out how she was being immature and then said Welcome Back to aerosol, but then stated that I hadn't seen him do a single thing since he got back, which several mods seem to agree with, were both deleted. It was a valid, ON-TOPIC post, and there was seriously no reason to delete it. And I definitely did not delete that post myself.
I guess I'll have to take screenshots from now on, eh? That's really sad, that I have to resort to taking screenshots of things in case they might be gone next time I check.
I...bah. I'm seriously wondering if I should just shut up and let things go as they are. I'm trying to improve things, but no one seems to care or listen to the things I say. Should I...just shut up and give it up?

I'm sure the odd post has been deleted, I know I've made some that have gone AWOL. However, figure it's some sort of post-theiving-Elf or random errors, they were never flames or anything.
ENOUGH WITH THE CENSORSHIP OF OPINIONS! If you don't WANT to take action, then at least TELL us to STFU so we (Nic) can stop making an effort. if you do plan to do things, yes it's Eric's site, but wouldn't it make sense to listen to the members? I mean, we have the occasional idea that's worth consideration you know.
Nic, you had BETTER not lay off of them, even if you are getting ignored, because I don't notice most things until you and ONLY you brings them up.  |

Well I delete spammy or inappropriate posts without giving notice else I'd spend a while in PM (omgz, S7P clean up) xD. And I do delete 10 day old, unregistered clans (if you can't read, that ain't my prob). Umm... what else... Requests from people to clean out threads of old posts ie James' thread for quizzes. No real reason to otherwise.
I'd hardly waste my time deleting stuff with points though considering it's like saying you can't have a different opinion from people (you know how much that annoys me). >=/

I am sure they were deleted for a very good reason, Nic. I have full trust in everyone on the staff, and I very highly doubt they would delete anything to cover them selves from anything. We all know being on staff comes with its pros and cons, so it is not a very big deal to us, if you know what I am getting at.
I understand you are angry at this turn of events, but it was the moderator's best interests to delete things, which he or she may find inappropriate. Now, I am not declaring your post of anything, because I did not get a chance to read it, so I cannot assume anything really. I am merely noting down the facts, and that he or she was doing his or her job. I do not know if it was a wrong decision at all.
On the other side of the coin, I see what you are trying to put forth. If you what you are saying is the truth, and your post was fine, then I don't see any real reason why it was deleted in the first place, but however, I have faith in the individual who did it. |

| And I don't, honestly. I'm not angry, this just shouldn't be happening. Trust ME. You know me well enough to know that I'm not going to make things up. My post was valid. It made honest points. It should NOT have been deleted. And the post of Rei's...was seriously immature. The fact that she deleted her OWN post points towards the fact that she was covering herself. |

Makes perfect sense -- To show that Gavin was doing wrong. It's a perfect example of what not to be.
Nic: I do not know what happened to your posts. If your post is not there, do not blame it entirely on the staff. A small glitch could've of sent your post into a blank forum, in which happens sometimes. |

A post in which SHE did wrong...suddenly disappeared. Just seems a bit too convenient.  And my post, in which I pointed out her wrong-doing...also disappeared. More convenience. ;D Also, if the post of Gav's was left to prove he did wrong...why was ANOTHER post in which he was flaming a member deleted?
I've never known posts to just disappear all on their own. x) |
