Yes another bunch of useless suggestions..

-Costa Del Sol... You should delete all thread that haven't been posted in for a month... It is just taking up space...
- New forum maybe? A Celebrations and Parties... Make it like the Welcome Room and not give posts but let it be a place where people can celebrate their b-days, and post counts (i'm not talking about odd numbers such as 587 but such as 100, 500, 1000 etc)
- Instate a new kind of roleplaying in the calm lands... Earlier Ancalagon and Tir tried to introduce a rp system which is judged by referees rather than god modding... Ask them more about it if it seems like a good idea...
- Replace some smilies... (If you want to, ask me and Onslaught for new, stupid smilies to replace the old)

Ok that's it...

You should read the sticky in Sector 7; it says that the birthday threads are to be there. Also, Post count celebration? Okay, that's something I've never seen.

That's smart, it is rather congested.

In another thread in the Midgar Library, he says that if you can fine some that exemplifies the same style, then he will be more than happy to.

That would change everyone's post counts monthly. I think that some people wouldn't appreciate that. It also helps for us to have a referance to old threads which are note-worthy but haven't been archived.

Celebrations and parties, S7P is used for b'day threads. xP There doesn't need to be a whole new forum for every single thing...

Roleplaying: *blank* I'll pass on this one. *doesn't roleplay*

I would like to kill some of the smilies, I believe afterlab is accepting new smilies if they fit with the current set.

hmmmmmm i know the s7p caters to the parties but it isn't really that well known...
Uhhh why would it change the post count? Isn't there a way to get rid of thread without the post count? gamewinners.com runs on a vb board and does it... As for the ones that are not archived, why not do so? If your so keen on not doing it? Just suggestions...
As for ones that are related, uhhhhhhh, i don't see wh ythey have to be related lol I mean the FF smilies are just plain horrible

As far as I know it is indeed possible to delete the threads yet keep the post counts. Simply run a query to delete them but don't update the counters in the CP.

Good thinking, it's true. But like Jon said, we'd like to keep threads there for archived purposes. We often close threads rather than delete them for that purpose.

Hehe, I forgot about the Archive, but I thought only FFR's 'greatest threads' were stored there? Or you could use TECK'S archive system here: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...threadid=47667

What I mean by 'archived purposes' is for storage, reference, and information.

Also, that hack doesn't really 'archive' things. All it does it make threads, forums, and posts into a searchindex-ready format. That can be used for other search engines such as Lycos, Yahoo, Google, Hotbot, Excite, etc...

Dangit! I just realised after I went offline and checked the still-open IE window... There is an archive system for sure, http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/archive/.
