Suggestions for joint activities with an affiliate forum

For those who have been here since the first quarter of last year (Jan-Mar) you probably remember the Fifth Final Fantasy Trivia Tournament (but was unfortunately cancelled here due to lack of member participation). This was a joint contest with FFR's affiliate SO. Now, since FFR now has quite a number of members, here are some suggestions of mine for future joint contests:
- A Jippii Pool Tournament between FFR and SO members. This was held in SO last year, and quite a number of participants there joined in. I was a part of it as well. Members from FFR would sign up here, those at SO would sign up as well. There should be an equal number, say 16 each. Each player will play against all players on the opposing side. The top 4 with the most wins from each forum shall be paired with their counterparts from the other side, and the winners shall receive RP (or Gil if an SO member).
- Inter-forum debates. The best debaters of FFR shall be pitted against the best debaters of SO on topics such as the FF series, gaming, controversial issues, and others.
- Roleplaying. FFR's RP'ers shall duel with their SO counterparts.
- Other activities, particularly in the Arts and Lit. section.
All of these are just my suggestions based on my experience at SO. Of course, this could come some other time (but not right away), since I presume there will be prior contests already on the way. |
